  1. He pitched the elimination game in 2020, gave up one run in 5 innings and only two hits (two walks) and still got pulled after 75 pitches. And the Astros made the Twins pay.
  2. We can start a GoFundMe to cover the billionaires' losses.
  3. Hmmmm, wasn't this supposed to be the 'fair' ump?
  4. Go ahead and pull Berrios early. Piss him off enough to trade him back to the Twins next year for Martin and Woods-Richardson.
  5. Never heard of it. I just remember Bernardo Brito hitting a million HR with the Beavers before he ever got a call up.
  6. For all of their regular season success during this recent run, they've been pretty ineffective in the post season outside of that run in 2020. They're definitely a team that is better than the sum of their parts.
  7. Based on Pinellas County demographics, most of the people living there now were probably alive during that game as well.
  8. Yeah, when I've had nosebleed seats, I've always tried to belly up to the OF bar railings when given a chance.
  9. The Twins signed Matt Shoemaker two days prior. We were all pretty stoked from what I recall.
  10. Every other aggressive team with young stud players are doing this.
  11. That's not very Minnesotan. We worry about the game today, the game tomorrow, if I-94 is going to have black ice, if the people at work will like my new haircut, if company comes over and thinks my house is messy and if someone else brought a better potato salad to the picnic.
  12. OK, going down the rabbit hole a bit, Ryan, Ober, Maeda, Lopez and Keuchel all get taken to the woodshed when facing the Astros. Sonny Gray flat out owns the Astros and Louie Varland had one start against them and kicked them in the teeth too. But all of this brings up one giant red flag. Only a crazy Twins fan (me) would research and game plan ahead a series when they haven't even clinched the first round.
  13. Sports bar downtown AFTER the game is always a good plan too. Wait for the traffic to clear out a bit.
  14. I suppose I stick with Gray, but Ryan's only start in Houston he got obliterated. And of teams he's faced more than once in his career, Houston is easily the opponent he's pitched the worst against.
  15. Boston sports fans are insufferably acting on two fronts. The first fight is complaining that they are marginalized and disrespected by the New York market, the second that they are significantly superior to any city that can't smell the salt water drifting off of an ocean. In any case, good luck to them this postseason.
  16. Maybe he'll calm down now that he finally has a playoff win, but I would start Farmer instead of him tomorrow. He and Kepler both seemed to be carrying the weight of the playoff stigma.
  17. If I was being objective, I'd say A-Rod was 100% in the Twins corner. Not saying I like him, but he sure seemed to have more positive things to say about the Twins than the Blue Jays.
  18. So the parade isn't tomorrow?!?!? I forgot how this works.
  19. AAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!! Don't celebrate Twins, act like you expected it. Let us fans lose our minds!
  20. Are they calling him DOOran just to taunt us? How about you pretend like you know some fly over country players.
