  1. Right. I didn't mention Wallner. Larnach is the one being activated, but for whom we don't know yet. I assume Garlick, unless there is someone headed to the IL.
  2. Larnach will be activated tonight ... for whom is yet tbd. What Brian suggested is something I've picked up elsewhere, that Larnach was imminent and they didn't want to bring back Wallner for a couple of days because of the limits there, so, Garlick was up and it makes sense he goes back down. But ... are Kepler's migraines IL worthy?
  3. I'm guessing Garlick back down ... unless someone goes on the IL
  4. After reading all these posts, I think I change my vote to DFA. I used to like Kep, but it's a sad state right now. His usefulness to the team has ended. We've waited for his bat to turn around, and while there have been a glint here and there, it's for too short a span and too far between glints.
  5. Let's please keep this to Kepler for now and not jump on the 'everything the FO does wrong' train. I get the correlation, but this topic is specific so let's keep it to topic.
  6. I think Royce in center makes a lot of sense … but there have been multiple posts about how his agent doesn’t want him out there. And the Twins seem to not want him out there, either, since he’s received no playing time there. Again, if all other players are hitting, we don’t need Taylor to hit. Big if, currently, though
  7. Excellent questions. We definitely need to move on from Kepler. Corner outfielders need to hit, and imho, hitting is more important than defense in those positions. As for Taylor, I’m not as quick to move on for him. CF is a key defensive position. I want a good defender and will compromise some offense there. Who do you replace Taylor with who isn’t Buxton? I’m not comfortable with Castro 3-4 days/week in CF. Castro can get into the lineup in multiple positions, if all you are trying to do is get him in the lineup. That’s possible without naming him our starting CF, which he should not be. That said, the rest of the lineup NEEDS to start hitting more and better. If the rest of the lineup did its job like we need them to, then you can afford to have the better CF out there.
  8. Thanks, @Richie the Rally Goat, for doing the research that this topic requires. We all get frustrated over the lack of hitting, but this shows that it isn’t just us, if we are are where we are in all the rankings. Still, it’s frustrating when we are watching and not seeing the runs score; and that is a problem and will hold us back. It’s then just easy to make claims out of that frustration that aren’t quite the whole picture and in some cases not even entirely true.
  9. If anything they will activate Larnach first
  10. So just because they lose they didn’t show up to play? I don’t concur with that. Frustrating loss? Yes. Acting the like players don’t care or didn’t try? No.
  11. Blarg. You win, you lose, and tomorrow is another day. It’s just a game.
  12. I hope Griffin has come out of his slump. Sure looks like it.
  13. I’m not new to that team. I was willing to see how he would do this year with the limited shift, but we’ve all seen enough
  14. Right, he can’t be optioned, but it’s time to part ways and get both Wallner and Larnach up here. Gallo can take over in RF and Larnach in LF, Wallner mixing in, would be just fine with me.
  15. Stewart missed a lot of games in 2004 and in 2006 … these were not WS years for the Twins. So called stomach problems? Are you suggesting he doesn’t have stomach problems?
  16. Someone made a point in a thread saying that Larnach will be ready soon and instead of using another call up for Wallner, used Garlick instead. You can only send someone down so many times before risking losing them so for just a couple of games, use Garlick instead.
  17. That’s a good point. I think the Twins are fine risking losing Garlick, and Larnach should be ready soon. I’m hoping that either Buck or Correa can at least come off the bench if needed. If not, the FO has left Rocco very short-handed.
  18. I’m saying more than that. You are very polite. 🙂
  19. He probably wasn’t going to get back into baseball in any capacity which is why he is probably doing this stuff.
  20. Yeah, was just going to comment on all of this and pretty much say take anything Mientkiewics has to say with a grain of salt. He has a most definite agenda here. He was fired for good reason, and not just because his management style wasn’t in line with the current FO, and that’s all I can say about that. There’s a reason he’s completely out of baseball and never got a top job. And noticed lately he’s in the media recently taking pot shots at former teammates.
  21. Well, it was going to be Sands for Thielbar one way or another. Hope Sands’ shoulder isn’t serious.
