  1. The Twins will beat the Dodgers in 7 games in the 2021 World Series.
  2. I just keep saying I'd like to see this Sox team prove the consistency over 162 games. Whereas the Twins have a bit more of a track record over the long term.
  3. It's only March 20. No worries here.
  4. Or, at least, make a decision soon. The home opener is April 8 and the Twins say they need 30 days to get Target Field ready.
  5. What are the chances of La Tortuga mania taking a grip of CHS Field this summer?
  6. There isn't much as far as baseball songs to choose from beyond the obvious. I will go with Glory Days by Bruce Springsteen since he leads off the song talking about his friend who was a baseball player back in high school. Glory Days was released and I was in the middle of my own glory days and didn't really get the meaning of the song. Now, I get it. I had to look this next one up to spark my memory - Paradise by the Dashboard Light has a cool baseball part in the middle of the song. The internet tells me, "...this hit from Bat Out of Hell is a short one-act about two horny teenagers at a lovers lane somewhere in America, with none other than Yankees announcer Phil Rizzuto providing a play-by-play of their heavy petting."
  7. Submitted for edit: Twins Daily 2021 Top Prospects: #222 SS Royce Lewis
  8. La Tortuga fills that final bench spot. Not too shabby having a .294 lifetime BA at the end of your bench. Although I would be fascinated to see how the Saints would market Tortuga and how wildly popular he would be at CHS Field.
  9. He should be a Twins Hall of Famer. Great guy and great teammate as you can just see from those dancing videos. Dozier means a lot to me as a fan. He helped rekindle my passion for the sport in 2015.
  10. The strikeouts are sickening. Even the better K rate of 37% is sickening. Fangraphs gives a K rate of 27.5% the worst categorization of "Awful".
  11. Yeah, it sure will be fun to fire up the ol' White Sox -Twins rivalry to maximum intensity in 2021. This might be wishful thinking - I am nowhere near convinced the White Sox are a 95-100 win team.
  12. I'd be a terrible GM. I'm locked into the idea of Arraez long term with the Twins so the thought of trading him doesn't excite me. Although, logically, it seems to make sense I want to hold on to Arraez because he is "our guy".
  13. To me, the fan base of the Cleveland baseball team has seemed so arrogant since the 2018 - 2019 off-season. That was so sweet for the Bomba Squad to stick it to Cleveland in 2019. The interview with this guy has done nothing to change my opinion.
  14. I have tried more than once to watch this movie. I can never seem to make it through more than a few minutes. Tom Hanks is not my cup of tea. FYI, I am a fan of women's sports. This movie just doesn't connect for me.
  15. I don't understand this entire debate/topic. I pay $120 per month for Spectrum. I get more television channels that I could possibly watch along with the full sports package (which includes FSN). I'm not overly pleased with the value, although it gets me all the Twins games and I use the Spectrum TV app quite a bit along with access to college football on the ESPN app. The headache of cutting the cord and chasing a better deal (with FSN) for the difference between $120 and whatever the streaming services cost doesn't seem worth it. I cut costs in other areas of my budget. And, I cannot and will not listen on the radio.
  16. What am I missing here? Polanco and Arraez are not infield locks? It does not compute. Sign Kiké Hernandez.
  17. Arráez only clocks in at #11? Remind me again why this organization can't win a playoff game.
  18. Amen, my brother. These two really struck a chord with me: I resolve to never take for granted enjoying a beer (Mt. Dew, I don't drink alcohol) and a bratwurst at a baseball stadium again. I resolve to find my bone-deep hatred for the Chicago White Sox again... It's been a long time since I "hated" one of the Twins opponents in a baseball game. This might be fun to really fire up the rivalry for the White Sox games in 2021. I wish the Sox nothing but losses and regression during the 2021 season in regard their on field results. LaRussa is the least likable figure in baseball since the time of Barry Bonds.
  19. Not to nitpick, BUT, just winning a playoff game doesn't cut it for me and it shouldn't for this organization. Winning the World Series should be the resolution.
  20. Will Nick Gordon get a chance by 2024?
  21. Nice example. Those are two great staffs. If the Twins could end up in the next few years with a starting rotation anywhere close to that Orioles club (or even those Twins), I think we'd finally see some playoff success again.
  22. Might there be some new year optimism sprinkled in here? I don't care, I hope this is accurate and the Twins soon have a solid 1-5 rotation for maybe the first time in my life (and I'm nearly 50).
  23. Yes, the Rondell White era still infuriates me to this day.
  24. Eddie Rosario in the Twins Hall of Fame is music to my ears. I hadn't thought of that scenario until you mentioned it. The highlights were great. So much fun to watch Eddie over the years and a gut punch to lose him. Time marches forward I guess. I think most downtrodden Twins fans expect Eddie to haunt the Twins in the future - either by beating the Twins or seeing success elsewhere. It was also great to see a packed Target Field with fans crammed in there for a sunny, glorious afternoon game. Hoping we can get back to that in 2021. My brother sent me a meme today that it's only 70 days until pitchers and catchers report.
  25. When do these culture shifts equate to postseason success?
