  1. Rocco strikes again. You don't pinch hit Bux for the Black Hole of Farmer with 2 ducks in the pond?!? He goes to CF, Castro to 2B, and even if he whiffs, we at least make a run at it. Somebody posted this week about how Rocco can't wait to get his best hitters out of the game with pinch-hitting mysteries, why not at least try to get the worst hitters out of the way for a change?
  2. I'm kinda torn between metaphors here. Option A:
  3. Just checked in on my 2nd team, the Cubbies. Got to listen to the Cubs announcers gushing all over that young hitter Spencer Steer. So, there's that.
  4. Gettin' major Jim Mora vibes right now... 🤣
  5. I dunno. Which one of these would you rather have back? 🤔
  6. Welp, as I left on my life-threatening-in-the -p*ssing-rain motorbike trip to work, I was thinking the Twinks were a little off-script, having a lead and all. As soon as I fired up the laptop at work, I see that order has been restored.
  7. Yep Rocco, good strateegery- let's sit Lewis against the yanks, so we count on him for that all-important Pirates series! Eye roll emoji.
  8. Don't worry. We drafted Keoni Cavaco ahead of him. His Era will start soon, no doubt.
  9. Royce is awesome. I've had Jeter vibes from him from the start. Watching his display so far has been amazing, and it's great hearing about how much it means to him. Makes me wonder how long it will be until he shows up in pinstripes too, pummeling us like all the rest of 'em.
  10. Welp, for God's sake, I thought that was posted over a hour ago. I'm joining the pathos parade myself...
  11. Welp, you gotta know you're going to get the yankee stadium strike zone going in. Heck, you even get the yankee stadium strike zone when they're on the road. Just deal with it. There's still no excuse for being this pathetic. Photo: actual ump making strike calls in yankee games:
  12. Yeeeesh, what a depressing check-in greeting me this morning. I only wish it were unexpected. 🙄
  13. So what if Luis Gil blew the Twins (and the rest of the AL) away. I'm still tasting the sweet champagne from the Jake Cave Era, where we won all those championsh... Oh, wait...
  14. Kyle Tucker: Meth, or just goofy-lookin'? 🤔
  15. Good job, boys! It's great we took this series, because our automatic losing streak coming up this week could potentially be limited to 3 games only. 😀
  16. Dfa for either of the last two on the list would be fine by me. Or maybe we can call the dodgers and get our shortstop refunded. 🤔
  17. Wow- Kep with a balletic catch! Mom and Dad would be proud!
  18. Yeouch. Your debut with your new team, and give up a tater to the first guy. Although being DFA'd by the White Sox is maybe a red flag.
  19. I'm gonna go ahead and replace Pablo Day with Pablo Day. He's done the job we needed with the bullpen as gassed as it is. Up to Staumont and Okert to close this one out if they can.
  20. Gotta dig this dude in the Alan Shepherd helmet... 👩‍🚀
  21. Had to check out the farm just now- Don't worry, help is on the way! Royce 0-4 with 3 Ks. Varland, Winder and Jackson all got hammered by the Red Wings. And woof, Wallner putting up Kyle Farmer numbers. Martin-Lewis combined 0-6. But at least in upstate NY, they can still make their gig at Grossinger's on time! 😅
  22. Nothing like a weak ground ball to short actually working out. Hey, that's baseball, ain't it? Good "job" Margot.
  23. He has been outstanding. First time in the AL- might take a bit for the "local" hitters to catch up to him, but I gotta believe it will happen. And holy moley- those Royals starters really have been carrying everybody- I thought we had it tough with our right-handed "bats"- the Axis of Futility of Farmer, Vazquez and Margot- but take a look at that Royal regular outfield: 😱 .166, .176, and .212! They're nearly a perfect match!
