    So, today it was Alcala's turn. Couple daze ago, it was Jax's. Whose turn will it be tomorrow? Good grief, are they playing spin the bottle in the clubhouse for someone to creatively butcher the next one. But there's one common denominator: the bald guy in the dugout.

    Great read, thanks for posting this! As a kid growing up in the 60s, and suffering through those 69 and 70 playoffs, any Oriole my friends and I got went directly into the spokes of our bikes!

    Heh... Another over-40 baseball tale-- That play reminded me of coaching 1st one time- the batter who'd just reached base was a bass player in a hard rock band, who said he was deaf in one ear from being next to the drummer for years. I told him, "Stay close to the bag, this guy's got a good pickoff move." He turned toward me and said, "What?" Boom. Throw. Tag. Out. 😂

    Kinda nice to see a Twinkie starter in the 5th, and not being the 3rd or 4th time through the opposition's order.

    Does it matter? Pretty much anybody at this point.

    This pretty much says it all. I remember playing over-40 ball back in LA- there was a team sponsored by an Irish bar, that were a good bunch of players, but more often than not, we'd catch them on the early Sunday AM game. Even hung over as hell, they looked a lot more prepared than the Twinks do every damn time.

    I gotta give some kudos to SWR for battling through 5. Kept them in the game, so to speak. For most teams, a 2-run deficit is not insurmountable.
