  1. I am a big believer in bringing up prospects as quickly as possible versus letting them languish in the minor leagues.
  2. It would be a bad idea to spend what little money the Twins will have to spend on Turner. A DH is probably one of he last things the Twins neeed right now.
  3. I for one would not be surprised if he accepts the Twins QO because it sounds like retirement is rearing its head for more family time and where else is he going to get that kind of money on a one year deal.
  4. Sorry. One of the worst articles I have seen on here.
  5. I have nothing against Solano but he should only be a fill-in and no the regular first baseman. Pete Alonso would be too expensive I think and Goldshmidt will be 37 next year and would only be a stop gap. I think a healthy Miranda would be the answer as I am concerned that Kirilloff might not ever be healthy enough to play every day. Would love for him to prove me wrong but..... In addition, the Twins payroll comes into play with both Alonso and Goldschmidt, particularly the latter.
  6. As the saying goes, you can put lipstick on a pig but at the end of the day you still have a pig.
  7. The Angels would be silly not to move him and get some good you players.
  8. Demanding accountability is easy. It is what you do when nothing changes that matters.
  9. Rumors have it that Crews has no interest in going to Pittsburgh. I just don't see the Twins useing a number 1 pick to draft a catcher.
  10. Just because a player starts his big league career as a reliever does not mean he can't be a starter down the line. Other teams have done this in the past but the Twins are a little slow in trying it.
  11. I would move Miller above Martin at this point. Martin has been a huge disappointment but then again so has Berrios for the BJays so far.
  12. Will Caution Matter for Twins Key Pieces? The answer to that question seems simple, did it help last year?
  13. The Falvey regime keeps their cards close to their vest. It is kind of amazing how they manage that process.
  14. Why would you take a young up and coming hitter like this and turn him into a DH? I have a better chance of being the Twins DH then this happening and I haven't picked up a bat in over 57 years.
  15. I am not overly concerned about Pagan, he either performs or he doesn't. I am guessing he is on a short leash to begin the season. A bigger gamble is Carlos Correa because if he goes down with an ankle issue Minnesota becomes the laughing stock of MLB and ownership pretty much has no choice but to jettison Falvey and Levine. See, there is always a silver lining to be found.
  16. It seems that a lot of people have Gordon as more valuable than I see him.
  17. Seems to me the Twins keeping cutting at the edges to make it more of a non-event and then in a year or two will shut it down for low attendance.
  18. Seth, I agree 100%. He has not panned out in LA (so far) but I would love to see him get a shot with the Twins. He reminds me if Shane Mack in a way. A change of scenery might be just the thing to get him to the next level. I think he is a risk worth taking, it just depends on what the Angels want in return.
  19. There is no such thing as a total no trade clause. There is always a way around it, it just depends on how bad you want to make a deal.
  20. The list of Twins players with things to prove should include most everyone on their roster and the top two on the list should be Buxton and Pagan.
  21. If he can finally find a way to shake off the injuries and stay somewhat healthy. Isn't that like saying if Miguel Sano didn't strike out so much he would be a great player? Instead he finds himself looking for a job.
  22. There is absolutely no reason to think that Buxton is going to be healthier as he ages. The Twins needs to catch him in one of his healthy productive streaks and trade him as quickly as possible. Get as much as you can for him as you can while you can.
