  1. Every player is a trade candidate, if they are not they should be.
  2. The most valuable pitcher on this list for the Twins might be number 11 Rod Stripling.
  3. Just because you can throw hard doesn't mean you know where to throw it or that you can throw it accurately.
  4. I sure am glad I don't have to make a decision on him. The man threw only 5 innings twice this year, both happened in September. In 21 starts he never hit the 80 pitch mark. His stats for this year are dismal. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=balazo000jor. Still very young but being young doesn't make you a pitcher. I would try to move him before his so called potential disappears totally.
  5. Just because someone gets paid for doing something doesn't mean they are good at it or know what they are doing.
  6. Don't get me wrong, I am not a fan of this FO. I think they shoild should be all be fired because they just don't seem to know how to run a baseball team but they can build one heck of a FO staff. I would say that judging the Mahle trade at this point is just unfair, we need to see a longer term picture to really judge it one way or the other.
  7. He offers speed and defense but little to no hitting. Can't see Twins signing him with no intention to bring him up. Sounds like Buxton is done for the year but the Twins don't want to announce it.
  8. From a Target Field attendance perspective, this schedule is terrible for Minnesota. With a number of "better drawing" teams coming to play the Twins either early in the season or in September when the weather is cooler and school is in session.
  9. MLB continues to exist by selling the theory to fans that even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then. Then when it happens it makes a huge deal of it.
  10. A good team player but will not be a starter on a playoff team. But let's be honest here, I have higher expectations for a number one pick fifth overall.
  11. I can see no circumstance that the Twins trade Correa. Trading Correa indicates raising a white flag and the Twins whose attendance should be better than it is will not trade him. The Twins FO would be chased out of town if they traded Correa and rightly so.
  12. I think he will be on the team but probably not a starter. The only other possibility is Buxton because he is pretty well known even though he has been up and down this year. But, his hot streaks are fun to watch.
  13. Based on their starters performances I would say that the Twins have been using an opener in most of their games this season.
  14. Arraez is good with the stick but bad with the glove in simple terms. What to do with him is not as simple. The Twins need an on-base machine in their line-up to put someone on base for the big boppers to knock in. You could trade him but you will probably not get his value in return. Not every player on your team needs to be a slugger but that is not how the analytics folks think now days.
  15. It is always easy to be the Monday morning quarterback and look back 10-15 years and say that other players should have been drafted. What I don't care for is cherry-picking the best player that the Twins could have selected. This case could be made for every MLB team every year.
  16. Who ever said that life was fair? You get up in the morning and you play the cards that you are dealt for that day. Tomorrow? You do the same thing.
  17. Ron Henry was the first player to make his major league debut in a Minnesota Twins unform when he entered the April 15, 1961 game against the Orioles as a pinch-hitter.
  18. I believe that Cavaco was over-rated to begin with and shouldn't even have been a first round selection so seeing him drop in the rating is not much of a surprise.
  19. Who drafts a first baseman that is bad in the field and has a high strikeout rate with their number one pick. The Minnesota Twins of course.
  20. Donaldson had a decent year in 2021, but he is not worth the money he is being paid. The team finished last with or without him. The FO made a mistake by signing him instead of investing in pitching in the first place.
  21. If the Twins have enough patience with Larnach he will produce. Trading him at this point would be a huge mistake.
