  1. A year with no baseball hurts everyone from the fans, players, stadium and concession workers and ownership but the teams that have a shot to win it all are probably the most severely impacted. Teams like the Twins were built for a serious run in 2020 and if no baseball is played the FA's move on and the other players get another year older. Baseball careers are relatively short anyway and losing a year is a serious blow. Teams that had no shot don't walk away unscathed either as the players that they are counting on to improve by playing the game will be sitting and watching. It will be a lose/lose for everyone but life is not always fair and we have to play the cards we are dealt. We will have to wait and see what the future brings.
  2. Good luck.
  3. I see no problem calling Buxton injury prone, it is what it is. How can you deny that he has been hurt numerous times and not available to play? A player is of no value to his team if he is not on the field participating. Seems pretty simple to me.
  4. The traffic on your site is incredible. As always you guys at Twins Daily do a great job, keep up the good work.
  5. So far the only player that has made even a small impact is Devin Smeltzer. Need to give this more time, too early to tell just yet.
  6. No only "Going home alone" but "Going home alone early". Disappointing but I have gotten used to the Twins saying one thing while doing something completely different.
  7. And we have this coming up too: 2020 Justin Morneau Ice Fishing Classic hosted by UPS and United Way of Hastings benefiting United Heroes League Mille Lacs Lake – February 8, 2020
  8. All things considered I would rather have the Moose but Donaldson is one heck of a ballplayer. No one wants to win more than Donaldson. Todd Frazier should not even be in this conversation with this Twins team.
  9. Why trade Rosario who admittedly had a bad season in the field but knocked in 100+ RBI to play an unproven hitter like Rooker who is a worse fielder than Rosario?
  10. I don't get too excited about/over pickups like this at this time of the year, here today and maybe gone tomorrow if a perceived better name pops up on the waiver wire.
  11. Why the big to-do over a possible home run record? It is only wins and losses that count in my book. A home run record is nice but not as nice as an AL Pennant waving over Target Field.
  12. Kepler is far from reaching his potential, as he matures he will become a better hitter.
  13. We attended the Miracles vs Dunedin game last nite and here are a couple of take-aways from the game. 1.Royce Lewis is going to be fun to watch. 2. Vladamir Guererro Jr. is huge and slow but the man can HIT! Watching him play 3B will be interesting. 3. Johan Quezada is in his sixth season of pro ball but is only 24. The man is 6'9" tall and last night he was consistently between 95-97 and topped out at 99. He deserves to be in a higher league.
  14. I was always told that if you can't say something nice that you shouldn't say anything at all, but here...........geez.....
  15. Absolutely agree. The Twins are desperate to keep their fan base and will do anything it takes to hype Twins baseball because they have nothing else right now. It will take a good season from the current Twins team to finally get Joe's shadow behind them.
  16. You can not grade an organization on what you think will happen in the future, you can only grade on what has transpired. In baseball all that counts is wins and losses, no excuses for injuries, suspensions, bad luck, etc., every team has those. Bottom line, this years Minnesota Twins are a failure and deserve an F.
  17. I give him a D and that is being generous. His use of the bullpen has been terrible and his players keep making the same mistakes. Falvey and Levine would be foolish to keep this old war-horse pulling the Twins wagon.
  18. Happy Thanksgiving! It is once again that time of the year to select our annual Twins Turkey of the Year winner. This year we get to select our seventh annual Twins Turkey of the Year award winner, who will be lucky number seven? As always we have plenty of blue-chip candidates to scrutinize, analyze, and reflect on. First off we need to narrow the list down to a manageable size.
