  1. Who drafts a first baseman that is bad in the field and has a high strikeout rate with their number one pick. The Minnesota Twins of course.
  2. Donaldson had a decent year in 2021, but he is not worth the money he is being paid. The team finished last with or without him. The FO made a mistake by signing him instead of investing in pitching in the first place.
  3. If the Twins have enough patience with Larnach he will produce. Trading him at this point would be a huge mistake.
  4. With Donaldson around there really is no spot for Miranda. The 25 man roster for a team is 99% determined before ST begins and how players perform in ST rarely changes that. There are exceptions of course but usually not in the players favor. It is much easier to lose a spot on the team than it is to make the team.
  5. A very nice ball player that was fun to watch. HOF worthy? Short answer is no.
  6. Seth, you are sounding like Sid Hartman in bringing back any athlete that passed through Minnesota.
  7. So the Twins hire Jayce Tingler to be their bench coach after he was just fired by San Diego for managing a team full of stars to a 79-83 record and a third place finish in his one full season as the Padres skipper.. Why am I not surprised? On the plus side he does speak English and Spanish.
  8. The Twins probably didn't want to pay him.
  9. You can refresh your Metrodome memories by going https://wp.me/P1YQUj-27 .
  10. I think a C- is being generous. A 29-28 record for the last two months is nothing to crow about, If you asked fans before the start of the season if a .500 record would be acceptable in 2021 they would have laughed at you. Twins fans and baseball experts all predicted a huge year for the Twins and the Twins FO and Baldelli fooled us all The only thing I see standing between Baldelli and a big red F is the Twins FO.
  11. Simmons is no where near the Twins worst free agent signings?
  12. Why do you think that at some point he will stop getting hurt? Some people are more prone to injury and healing times are slower.
  13. Besides being a Twins number one pick what has Cavaco done to warrant such a high rating?
  14. This was a good trade for the Rays, Twins and Nelson Cruz. Everyone should be pleased with what they received.
  15. He should absolutely be traded, right on.
  16. I think folks give this FO too much credit. Most of the players that have made Falvey and Levine look good were brought in under the Terry Ryan regime. The FO was supposed to be pitching savy but it is hard to understand why they have brought in has been's like Homer Bailey, Rich Hill, JA Happ and Matt Shoemaker to complement the starting rotation. Ryan's organization didn't use analytics enough and this Falvey regime uses it too much. We need to find a happy medium here. Another issue I have with this organization is that they seem to be home run happy, baseball is not just about waiting for a home run.
  17. For a FO that is supposedly pitcher savy they sure seemed to make a lot of mistakes with their off-season pitching moves Their approach seems to be to sign a slew of has-been's and hope that one or two turn out to be keepers. It is not easy making silk out of a sow's ears and you will fail more times than you succeed. Maybe a better approach is to spend some money and sign some proven talent and hope that works out better. But what do I know? I don't have a degree from one of those fancy eastern schools.
  18. I am a big believer in that minor league players should be brought up sooner than later for a big league trial. Good for the player and good for the big league team to see how the player reacts. If only a few of these early call-ups stick in the big leagues the organization comes out ahead. Particularly with pitchers I think, they have only so many bullets in their arsenal, why waste them in the minor leagues. If they can't cut it, their spot in the minor leagues will still be there waiting for them. I think you can learn more in two weeks in the big leagues than you can learn in a season in the minors.
  19. Sounds good. I think one of the best parts of the new site is how clean and uncluttered it looks. Can't wait for you to get rid of that orange bar, it definitely catches your eye and serves it purpose but for some reason it just "grates" on me. Have a great day.
  20. Nice job to all. I like the red and white but miss seeing some blue.
  21. I can't wait to see the Royals play the Twins and see what they really have in KC. Should be fun to watch.
  22. One thing you didn't touch on here Seth is the minor league schedules. If you look at each of these teams schedules, the games both home and away are set up in six game blocks so each series is actually six games. I wonder what impact these six games series will have on the pitchers or the hitters as they become so familiar with each other of that short time period. I wonder too if this is another one of MLB's tests and if this practice will move to the big leagues. I suppose it can cut down on travel costs and it may benefit the players with less actual travel and more rest time.
  23. If Kirilloff is not playing left field this year full time the Twins FO screwed up big time not keeping Eddie Rosario.
