  1. Avoid injuries. Problem solved.
  2. By definition, the fact that you're running guys like Gordon, Contreras, Garlick (and Cave) out there means that you DON'T have to many outfielders.
  3. Sounds like a big haul for a guy that basically you're trading cuz you don't want him.
  4. And the two most prolific home run hitters this team has had in decades are sitting at home wondering if they'll have work in 2023. Both right handed hitters, which my TD associates tell me is a desperate need of this team.
  5. A wise man once said that advanced analytics are an excellent way to project the past.
  6. "Maybe they’ll even extend their comfort zone to go big enough to beat out the obviously aggressive, big-thinking, smaller market Twins."--Gordon Wittenmyer NBC Sports Chicago's Cubs Insider on the Cubs pursuit of Dansby Swanson.
  7. Actually thought he'd get closer to $30 per.
  8. Wife plays in Chicago. 'nuff said
  9. And yet Farmer drove in 78 runs with a 62 win team surrounding him. No Twin topped 66. Buxton, Polanco, Arraez & Miranda are givens. I said top 5. Larnach, Gordon, Wallner and Kirillogg are unproven and two of them can't even stay in the lineup as often as Buxton. Gordon is so productive he took 8 years to become a full time big leaguer. You're right about Kepler. He WAS as significantly better hitter. FOUR years ago. If he still were, 60% of the folks on this site wouldn't be pushing for him to be moved.
  10. He's a better stick than Urshela.
  11. Actually Plan B was one of the first things they did this off-season. Farmer will be one of the top 5 bats in this lineup.
  12. Works for me. So do the Easter Bunny & Santa Claus.
  13. Farmer will slot in as the best stick on this team not named Buxton, Polanco, Miranda or Arraez. Solid defensively.
  14. Wait? A player used a team as a stepping stone for bigger and better things? Say it ain't so. Next thing you know a team will do the same to a player.
  15. My hope is that Kirilloff & Larnach are still healthy by Patriots Day.
  16. The two go hand in hand.
  17. Always love someone who is an expert at spending other people's money. I call mine my wife.
  18. Dude, if you're gonna run with this lead at least throw some names at us.
  19. Pina to Oakland as well.
  20. I agree. Actually, now that the answer is Vasquez, I wouldn't, if the price was right, wouldn't be opposed to retaining Sanchez as a third option / DH. Can never have too many bats.
  21. Well, the name I keep hearing on TD is Omar Narvaez so at least the bar isn't set to high.
  22. I love when folks make such a good case for the other team to trade for a guy that it would appear foolish for us to do so.
