  1. I'm not 100% sure that's true. I remember watching some replays where their defense stunted but Ingram was on someone and our center couldn't pick up the rush. I'm certainly not an expert, but my eye-test was that Ingram had one of his better games while O'Neil struggled a bit more than he usually does.
  2. I don't know the answer to this but how easy would it be for Cousins to go to Pittsburgh on Tuesday and be game ready Sunday with the new playbook? I'm sure it's happened but I can't remember a lot of in-season trades for starting QBs. Or does Pittsburgh decide to lose draft capital and take a "L" on Sunday? Seems risky. Especially since Pickett was a first round pick himself and Cousins only has a year left.
  3. Tough loss. Good game. I really like Herbert and you could argue he's not a top 5 QB in the game. Wish we had him. Lots of missed chances and the last 30 seconds were a disaster but nice to see some kind of running game show up.
  4. Gads. Gophers really found a way to lose to Northwestern.
  5. I like Mattison and I'm glad he spoke up about the racist **** that he had sent to him. But, to me, he was a really good back up that didn't make you change your game plan.
  6. I assume the coaching staff has lost faith in Mattinson so ...
  7. Gray shouldn't win it, Cole should. But Gray might come in second or third. He's had a really great season. Congrats to him. I'm sure we all would have been thrilled at the beginning of the year if we were told he'd be second in the Cy race.
  8. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/38444595/brusdar-graterol-mother-sees-son-pitch-7-years-apart Worth a quick read.
  9. I liked the trade when it happened but I've always been low on Arraez. I think it was a really good trade from a timing perspective - trade him right after he won the batting title. And I like Lopez. I also might not be as high as others on Lopez but he's a really good ML pitcher and hopefully will stay healthy for the rest of his contract with us. I would certainly do that trade again.
  10. Cousins wasn't the same after he was pile drived into the ground on his QB run before the TD. Probably had a concussion.
  11. You all are pessimists. 10-7 and win the division!
  12. Ugh. I'm not sure I'm ready for Detroit to actually be good.
  13. Considering where we were just a few months ago, I'm thrilled that we will make the playoffs.
  14. Completely agree with this.
  15. I like that hot take.
  16. I think I agree entirely with this. I go back and fourth about the NFL. There are things I really, truly hate about it - how it literally takes years of the lives of its players, how its a "non-profit" for tax purposes, it's military imagery. But the collection of QBs in the AFC right now is one of the best things in the NFL in decades. Mahomes, Burrow, Herbert, Allen, Lawrence, Jackson, Tagovailoa, are all mostly young (27 or younger) and improving. Plus a few old guys like Rodgers and Wilson. And, while I agree with you that Cleveland will likely underachieve, Watson could be an elite QB. Plus, Indy has huge hopes on Richardson and Ryan Tannenhill isn't a bad QB, just nothing fancy. But he's certainly not a disaster.
  17. I guess we had a different understanding of locking them up young. Lewis is nice but a longterm contract with him should be a back burner issue, at best.
  18. He's 24 and under team control through his age 29 season, right? No need to lock him up. He does have some injury history.
  19. Yeah, those Rangers' MIers are having a great sesason, both are top 4 in WAR. Also a bit bittersweet to see Luis Robert have the season we all wanted Buxton to have. But, my God, Ohanti. Has anyone ever doubled the runner up in WAR? He's close.
  20. Fudge it, I've seen enough. I've watched some good Twins teams get nowhere in the playoffs. This team isn't good but they'll be the one that breaks the streak and actually advances in the playoffs. 😃
  21. For baseball's sake, I hope he's not done. The allegations are pretty depressing though. Ugh.
  22. Anyone watch the Manziel documentary on Netflix? Worth it?
  23. Kepler has amassed 1 WAR this year. He making 8.5m. He's been horrible. And he's blocking young players. TD is really on a roll. Cripes, Hawk Harrelson would be embarrassed to be this much of a Homer.
