  1. The score was tied when Kep failed to catch the ball. Therefore it would not all be over if Kep had caught the ball. We would have been subjected to another inning watching the Twins' hitters flail away at the air and then Pagan trying to throw strikes and trying to keep the ball in the park. But if I'm frustrated, think how the Twins players must feel right now. Today's game (Wednesday) is the most important game of the year, because it is today's game.
  2. How about asking Buck to bunt in order to remind him what it is like to have bat to ball contact.
  3. Sale had something to do with part of the Twins awful offense. But the other Boston pitchers, not so much.
  4. He was making fun of me, because I had been up much of the night drinking special fluid, and dealing with the necessary results, so I could have the colonoscopy that morning.
  5. IT - Best of luck to you as you fight glaucoma and as you are checked out by a colonoscopy And best of luck to Mrs. IT for her knee. The last colonoscopy I had, the surgeon walked into the operating room and asked me how I was doing. I said : "I'm fine, how are you this morning?" The surgeon then proceeded to tell me: "I'm not doing too well. I was up all night drinking." LOL. True story.
  6. DFoc, what do you mean you are looking forward to someone replacing Duran?
  7. Nick, Your outstanding and encouraging article creates these questions: 1) Who will be sent down, traded or released when Gallo, Polanco, Kirilloff and Lewis are ready? Unfortunately, some injury or injuries will probably dictate this, and it may be that the FO will just have to cross that bridge when they come to it, but I really have enjoyed watching Farmer and Solano contribute to the team. I think possibly too much has been expected from Gordon this year, so he may be on the bubble. Castro has contributed due to his ability to play anywhere on the field, but his numbers are not high enough to stick when some of the others return to the team. Then there is always Julien, Garlic and Wallner to consider. Julien needs to play a full year at AAA and cut down on his SO's and improve his fielding at 2B. I think Lee will play the rest of the year at AAA, with a possible September call up to give him some brief experience in the big leagues, in preparation for 2024 on the Twins. But who will be demoted, traded, or released? What if the Twins have a healthy Lewis, Kirilloff, Polanco, Correa, Julien, Lee, and Miranda in the spring of 2024. 2B and SS would have Correa and (hopefully) Polanco. 2) Where do the other 5 infielders play? 3B, 1B and Util. ? Looks like another trade of a good Twins' IF'er for a 2024 starting pitcher may be the answer. And don't forget ERod in a couple of years. 3) A final question: Why aren't the national prospect gurus as excited about the Twins' prospects as we at TD are?
  8. I agree 100%. One of the main reasons Falvey was hired was to build a pitching staff. I say, mission accomplished. for 2023. Keep up the fire, FO.
  9. "Outstanding". Or as we used to say in the infantry, "Out, standing in the rain."
  10. Rocco handled this incident very well. No accusations, just a disagreement with the procedure. It is a completely logical question to ask why German was allowed to pitch without wiping that sticky substance off, as the Ump told him to do a second time. When the ump said, "I told you to wipe that off", since German was allowed to pitch without complying with the ump, then that is wrong. Rocco was correct. The ump goofed. He was surrounded by Yankee players and Aaron Boone, in New York. I feel the ump should have told the Yankees to get away from him and his crew as they discussed the matter. I feel he was intimidated by the Yankees surrounding him and his crew as they discussed the matter.
  11. Will Leitch of MLB.COM writes that the Twins starting pitchers have been possibly the most impressive in the sport right now.
  12. Wow ! What an outstanding report ! Thank you, Melissa. I almost felt like I was at the stadium.
  13. Can we agree that "From Opening Day of the 2023 season, until April 13, 2023, the FO has nailed it"?
