    Everyone on this board is a better defensive catcher than Sanchez. And, they have no shortstop again. And urshela? I have no idea what they are doing. They are worse at catcher and still have no shortstop.

    In not sure what this means? I said not doing anything in free agency indicated to me they weren't going for it this year. That they were playing for the future. Lots of other here have said the same thing. No one said they saved money for future years.

    This makes the trade yesterday make more sense. Apparently they are trying to win? The Bundy signing makes less and less sense though.

    Yes, he is, if you look at the totality of how he hits, not just one number, and compare him to other players. That said, I think he might hit for slightly more power this year, and it won't be a completely empty 271.

    It's all about the prospect. If he's not good, the trade makes little sense. I agree. Not a huge fan of him already being on the forty man....

    I'm confused about trading a real asset for short term help, on a team that refuses to have pitching. What's the point, other than losing an asset and taking up two forty man spots? That's backward.

    There's a difference between ok contender, and serious contenders. No one can look at this pitching and think they are serious contenders. no idea why this is in italics.

    They aren't serious contenders this year. I'm not sure what you expect at this point, realistically.

    He was better last year than I thought. If he does put up two WAR at SS this year, it isn't a bad trade. I don't love it, as I really don't want Rortdvert in the majors, but I guess we'll see

    Maybe stop taking bat first corner players in the early rounds? Or, trade some of those?
