  1. I read it the same way. My strategy in this scenario would be to try to have more relievers get 4-6 outs and try to avoid starting a clean inning.
  2. Marwin does, why can’t Arraez? At this point Marwin is my 4th OF. If Buck gets injured Marwin remains my 4th OF and Cave comes up to play RF, moving Kepler to CF.
  3. Wikipedia agrees https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_writing_system
  4. I liked the Marwin signing, and I’m not saying he should be cut. I’m all for letting things play out this year. However, Marwin has a career 101 WRC+, Adrianza career 84 WRC+ and Cave (since Marwin’s best defensive positions are LF and 3B) sports a career 111 WRC+. Now looking at last year Marwin 93, Ehire 102, Cave 113. I’m with you on Astudillo, but to me, Astudillo isn’t really in the equation. Looking to 2021 I agree with Jorgen, it’ll be the arrival of Lewis, Blankenhorn, Kirilloff or Larnach that forces the issue on Marwin.
  5. this. Ehire is a very comparable player with the bat, is a better fielder and should come in at approximately half the price on the free agent market.
  6. I disagree. you can never have too many SS! Leave Lewis at SS until he proves he can’t play it.
  7. Better than Martin Perez does not inspire confidence.... That being said, I hope the OP is right!
  8. as a shareholder I get to listen in on the earnings call. medical as a whole is about 8 billion of a 33 billion market cap. Masks and avagard are a portion of that 8, not sure how much but probably growing! 3M is one of the worlds largest producers of surgical/face masks and respirators, but it’s highly diversified, using/manufacturing the same IP into many different markets. It’s a bellwether stock, part of why it’s not getting hammered right now is it’s taken a beating over the last year.
  9. Ticker MMM maker of Avagard and surgical face masks has been doing less bad than other Dow stocks lately. That dang PFAS monkey on their back will hinder things for a while though...
  10. Mod note: this article is intended for humor. Do not use this forum to swap tactics on how to game the rules in place. Describing ways to circumvent MLB’s intellectual property rights equates to a break of number 5 on the comment policy. http://twinsdaily.com/topic/8228-twins-daily-comment-policy/
  11. Good OP! I agree, the managers that have the guts to more regularly stretch relievers an extra out will succeed with the new rule. Managers that cling to the traditional reliever roles may struggle
  12. Watching The Hunters on Prime. I enjoy it, but it’s a difficult watch, switching between 70’s stylish “Shaft” meets spy type and the pain of being a Holocaust survivor.
  13. I’m on the Rooker bandwagon too Edit to add, were the Sire(s) of Fort Myers, plural, Thielbar throwing gas seems like a good bet.
  14. considering 30-40% of what’s coming off the books is Odorizzi, it’s not that much....
  15. There's three moderators posted in the thread... laughing, I might add
  16. RE: Cruz. It’s pretty optimistic that one of the Rookies could step in and backfill Cruz. Letting his production go will leave a big gap. It’s a deep lineup and a DH can be had cheaply, but not at the value they got from Cruz. RE: Marwin... Adrianza is already on the roster, and is a free agent too. He’s not replacing Marwin. If you can resign Ehire, losing Marwin isn’t huge, but you gotta resign one of them. My vote is Ehire. That knocks down your total maybe, 12-15 mil, I guess.
  17. Great article, Matt! I think you’ll find similar experiences in the Forums. Many of the hearty TDers live beyond the reaches of Fox Sports North and come here to TD to connect.
  18. yup. I see Marwin as the 4th OF and Astudillo up to start the season as a decent bet.
  19. 91 might have been a better offseason with Chili Davis and Jack Morris, but I could be persuaded that Donaldson and Maeda are a better tandem as an offseason goes, and this was after setting the foundation with Pineda and Odo So if this is in contention with the best offseason in my lifetime, it has to be an A....
  20. Point of clarification: The big league field has concessions on game days, but the back fields do not. And if you can swing a long weekend to Florida, don’t wait. It’s a great experience!
  21. I’d much rather read Warne than LEN3, but Lavelle was all over the Graterol trade, and has a long history of being a good beat reporter.
  22. http://twinsdaily.com/blog/1282/entry-11699-why-jordan-balazovic-has-the-makings-of-an-ace/ I’m really high on Jordy Blaze and so is Nash Walker!
