    Okay, I am now in agreement - our rotation is not as good as last year. I also am still waiting to see the best bullpen in baseball. The Twins got some hits after the game was essentially over. Not impressed. We need something to happen soon. We are playing one of the really good teams and we look really bad. After splitting with Detroit the hope was we would move forward, but we forgot that Detroit is in the central division. We have two wins against KC and two against Detroit to go with one vs Dodgers and one vs Milwaukee.

    I agree but Keirsey and Fajardo make more sense that Larnach right now. If Helman was healthy he would be better too.

    182 .286 .273 .558 What do we expect form Larnach when this is his slash line in the minors? Keirsey and Fajardo what have made more sense for me.

    I am not moved by this move. It is a so what signing and I am fine with it. Since he first signed with Cincinnati I thought I would share this report on Cincinnati from the Athletic team ratings: The Reds are flush with young, exciting talent, but no one is standing out as much as Spencer Steer. Before games on Monday, the left-fielder led the Reds in hits (18) and RBIs (18) and nearly three weeks into the season, he still has an OPS that is four digits long. Steer’s bat has come up big numerous times for the Reds already this season, but his glove is getting it done, too, including on a sliding catch against the White Sox over the weekend. And, as our C. Trent Rosecrans pointed out, Steer and his fellow Reds outfielders have been the best defensive outfield in the majors to start the season, according to Sports Info Solutions. — McGrath

    There is no best defensive lineup right now. We just have to plug holes. But I would put Miranda at 3B and let Farmer sit. I know Miranda is not the answer, but neither is farmer. I am not as impressed with Santana at 1B as many are. Our defense at the moment is only good in CF and C.

    Let's not make moves too quickly. Larnach has been tried over and over and found wanting. He is hitting 182 in the minors and some think he should be brought up? How many ABs did Kelly say were needed to truly measure a players skills? Santana is much more of a problem and our clean up hitter Farmer is not going well. Castro and Buxton are not hitting and Margot has not been exciting. Why are we singling out Wallner at this time?

    Julien is 200/286/480. Too early for a promotional piece. And I really like him, but not ready for this. His fielding according to BR is a -6 RTOT and -4 in defensive runs saved so far this year.

    I thought we were getting past the service time manipulation. Alcala was effective, Thielbar and Jax were not in their last outings. Funderburk has exceeded expectations. If I were making the choice I would keep the younger arms.

    Alcala loses service time and we have to put up with Bowman - not a good decision.

    SWR is smiling, the rotation is opening up and I am disappointed in Varland. I never heard of Bowman and I do not expect to hear from him again. Where is Alcala - I know - do the Twins? Kiriloff and Jeffers are the two leading bats. We need them every day. Thank you Miranda for stepping up. The last of the good hitters is Martin. Martin is not great, but with this lineup average is outstanding.

    I always thought that Feller was right when he said you build arm strength by throwing the ball. With all the rash of injuries I do not think saving innings when you are good helps and I do not blame the pitch clock. I blame the excessive pressure to throw max every pitch. Pacing is also pitching.

    Varland started hot too when first called up. SWR is in line, it is up to Louie to take charges of his position in the rotation.

    Fun intro to a big guy, but no - I do not see a Twins uniform in his future.

    Good article, but increased fan frustration. We have always loved Buxton's speed and potential, but ten years and 20.8 WAR - 2 per year and so far this year it is negative. 238/298/464 career slash line is not a superstar. Frustration is not about injuries, but 553 appearances in CF over ten years (55 per year) means his bat has to give more value. I hope it does, but I do not expect star level play -- I would just like a good major leaguer.

    One out but he hit the ball hard and he walked. He is hitting 125! I admit that that is better than Wallner, Farmer, and Castro, but - no room for bragging. On a team with Julien, Buxton, Vasquez, Miranda, Margo all batting under 200 maybe Santana looks better, but! Martin, Kiriloff, and Jeffers all above 200- wow. None of them will win the batting title. Sorry to see Thielbar have such a bad outing and Jax too. By the way what is Bowman doing on the team?

    Varland needs to step up, SWR just put the pressure on him. Sands has surprised me in a good way. I am also delighted by Funderburk and his performance this year. Hopefully Jeffers and Julien can join Kiriloff and start getting some hits on a regular basis.
