    I hate to pile on, but Margot has given us nothing. You know we will not resign him. Move on - Martin, Wallner - he is not needed. With Farmer and Santana still under the 200 line we do not need another weak hitter coming in - especially PH for a good hitter. The Twins were bound to lose a game, but I would have liked a crisp close loss. But we can move on. It is Margot that I can't move on from because the Twins won't move on.

    It is good enough to divert our attention from Margot and Farmer's batting. I really am enjoying Kepler's success and Larnach coming through. I still hope we will be seeing Wallner again soon. And Sands is a revelation. I did not see this coming either. Hurray. Glad to have Alcala in the pen again.

    Paddock is winning me over with this outing. I wasn't so impressed when it was against one of the really bad teams but the Red Sox have been putting up decent numbers all year. So he is proving himself each time out and let's hope it continues with some of the real top teams

    It's nice to bring back memories of the old twins. He was a solid part of the teams during his stay with the twins and if he had had been able to stay on for his whole career he would have made an even stronger case for moving up our top 10 list

    If the premise that they will go during the season, Margot is the best choice with Martin ready to take his position and other minor leaguers that would deserve playing time. Relief pitchers coming back - Jackson should go, Alcala should be back with Topa. If we look at next year - Santana should not be back. I like WIlli, Farmer is too expensive.

    Don't wait - but Buxton on IL. Bring up Martin. Keep moving forward.

    The number one is good, but I would have Larnach #2. He has really risen to this opportunity.

    What is the correct answer: Overhyped? What if? What now? Will he ever be what we expected? He is the ultimate conundrum and it is sad.

    Our fielding was shaky and it was good that we were playing the White Sox. But I am celebrating the streak.

    I made it and stayed up. So happy for Ober. My lingering questions are - why is Margot batting third? Why is Farmer in for Julien no matter where he is in the lineup? Still happy for a win and five game winning streak. Can we play the A's next? Wait we go back to the Sox - love it.

    This is not about the Twins. It is about a person who matured late and needed the rejection (tough love) of being cut to get his attention and I hope focus. I would still like to see him reach his potential.

    He needed a reset and the Twins were obviously not able to provide that. Good luck to him, keep the strikeouts down and the contact up.

    Let's switch on our Minnesota Nice and appreciate the White Sox for the mental and physical break they gave our team. We needed to reset, but the season just keeps rolling along. No days off, but four games of batting practice and the ability for the catcher and pitchers to just play catch, made this a great visit with the Chicago counselors of good feelings. I hope they continue to be that break in the season for many more years.

    I hope this is the springboard to better success against better teams. Overall I am glad we swept, but joy in muted. Is anyone close to as bad as the Sox?

    I am curious where the plus and minuses are throughout the lineup. How are Jeffers and Vasquez rating this year? There has been a lot of talk about Julien, what is his defense rated? And out hitless first baseman is there for his glove now - is he that good?

    I was going to post this too. Way to go. The industry sees us different than many fan perspectives. Of course that could mean that there are a lot of lousy front offices.

    The big news of the day for me is the fact that we actually let one - just one - starter go more than 3 1/3 innings. A five inning start for Dunn! Maybe he is going to be a starter and all the others just long men out of the pen.

    I am so excited by our lineup I can't count - of course Julien (200) is second where the best hitter on the team is positioned. And 143 hitting Kepler is fourth. But with the team hitting like it is, who can you bat?

    Thankfully we were playing the White Sox. It is hard to celebrate a victory over this AAA team (am I putting them too high? Should it be AA?) when we struggled in so many ways. Loving Larnach doing so well. But 169 Castro batting sixth? What am I missing? And 149 Santana batting seventh??????????????? Of course we had them followed by Farmer .073 and Vasquez 150 so I guess it makes sense?

    I have to add this Sox perspective from the Athletic - they are rated the worst team in baseball and this is the description so lets win them all, but if we do it does not mean we are back: "There’s a thread on Reddit’s White Sox community titled: Worst Chicago White Sox Ever? They average 2.14 runs scored per game and 5.52 runs allowed. As of Monday, Atlanta’s Marcell Ozuna is a two-homer day from tying the White Sox’s 11 homers this season. The White Sox have a .188/.264/.288 slash line and .552 OPS. The closest comp I can find is 1975 John Stearns. A whole team of Stearnses. — Nesbitt"
