  1. Same here. His right vs lefty or lefty vs righty nonsense has to stop. He PH for Kiriloff, Wallner, and Julien yesterday with RH bats that are outs. Let the young guys take these AB's and learn to succeed and potentially win. It's complete garbage the philosophy he's using, like all our parts are the same; they aren't, it's not close.
  2. Polanco back as a Full time DH, and I'm in. I'm no longer interested in watching him play defense. Kepler can be traded, his value is real
  3. The Twins are already hiding Solano, Kiriloff, and possibly Miranda at 1st base. They can't hide everybody
  4. I think #3 is a weak argument. This is the time of year where, while the rest of your division sells, you buy. The goal can't be just "winning the division." It has to be winning in the playoffs, why did we sign Correa to a 6 year deal if all we want to do is win 87 games/year? If you don't like this roster, and I don't, getting a RH bat or 2 had to happen. Buxton, .205, Vazquez, .224, Taylor, .220, and Correa, .224. That's not beating Houston, Baltimore, Tampa Bay, or Texas; they needed help. Now, I understand that giving up Lewis, Kiriloff, or Bryce Lee were not options but, Holy cow, there had to be moves to make. Kepler and Polanco options cannot be picked up for next year, Gallo should be DFA'd today, and 2024 is now my focus. This team is doing nothing for me, again.
  5. Fair but this team isn't viable without a RH bat. Buxton is clearly not the answer in the middle of the lineup and our young guys are LH hitters. I'm also fine keeping Gray and offering him an extension. Maybe we'll shut everyone out in the playoffs. 🙂
  6. Trading Gray for immediate help in the form of a RH bat that is currently on a 25 man roster works for me, especially if he has told management that Minn is not where he wants to be for the next 3 years. This team can pitch, Pagan looks better out of the pen lately, I am leery on Maeda every 5th day, but, for a legit bat, Gray could be moved. This team needs so much help in the middle of the order, i agree, they are going no where in the playoffs. Buxton, Kepler, and Gallo don't inspire me at all.
  7. I agree. Varland plus a couple more; Woods-Richardson would be an easy pick but his ERA is over 7 at St. Paul right now. The Twins need bats but mortgaging the future isn't their DNA and as good as Steele has been in Cincy, you know Mgmt is hesitant to make a big splash
  8. I think the Cards will want more than Miranda and Larnach to make this happen. Teams trade for young arms, not bats hitting .206 and .215
  9. There is no way the Twins are trading their prospects for Arenado. This goes against everything the organization does; taking huge contracts is not their MO
  10. Well, if they trade Gray, they'd be ba k to a 5 man rotation with Kuechal as the 5th. I'm honestly not interested in Kuechal being part of this group. Find offense or settle for who we are.
  11. The idea of discussing a 6th person in our rotation, which then allow for fewer starts from Gray, Lopez, Ober, and Ryan, when we need offense blows my mind. We have no issues with our rotation, find offense!!!
  12. Not super interested in RH arms but a LH bullpen guy would be a logical acquisition. A RH bat luke Turner also makes sense, he can play 1st base, we have plenty of OF without Gallo or Kepler. This team clearly needs offensive help, Ober last night gave up 1 run in 6 and couldn't get a "W" because our every day guys are unable to score 2 runs. Find offense
  13. The roster is not what we believed it would be, that's for sure. With today being an off day, I would expect that the roster changes, whether a trade gets made, we DFA someone, whatever. Rocco was as angry as I've seen him.yesterday and he was spot on with respect to effort and mental toughness. I want to see Wallner and Larnach back for the weekend and I'll continue to wait on Miranda. Time to make.tough decisions FO, let's go!!
  14. It goes without saying that the philosophy of hitting with the Twins right now is the wrong approach. With the shift pretty much eliminated from the game, putting the ball in play needs to be emphasized again. Buxton, Gallo, Miranda, and Correa have been less than inspiring and that was the middle of the lineup on April 1st. This series shouldn't count because Atlanta is miles ahead of the Twins on talent and execution, but putting the ball in play can become a focus of our offense any day now.
  15. The Twins will wait as long as they can to DFA Gallo because they won't want to eat too much of the contract, they're still cheap. I'd rather have Wallner and Larnach up let them learn the game but this front office has a different agenda
  16. Wacha, 11 wins and a low 3.00 ERA in 23 starts in 2022. He is far better than Bundy, Archer, or Varland.
  17. Agree. I hate the idea of bringing his miserable personality to the Twins baseball team. Let go prove himself again somewhere else
  18. He's not coming back, we need to move and get some talent on this roster. Joey Gallo hitting .160 isn't bringing me to Target Field
  19. I agree. He replaces Garlick and Celestino because Kiriloff can play CF for 70 games when Buxton is hurt. (Assuming he's not on the IL at the same time as Buxton).
  20. This an upgrade from Bundy and Archer; I'd sign him to a 2 year contract.
  21. Send them a LH hitting outfielder and an arm from the system. Kepler would love San Diego
  22. This lost is a great list and more evidence of Falvey and LeVine doing nothing to make the Twins better. Come Feb well sign two arms or a bat that no one wants and pretend we've made our team better and deeper. It's a silly game they play and it will not help come April 1st. This team isn't better than Cleveland and probably isn't better than Chicago either. Another non competitive season, ?
  23. A) I don't think Swanson gets 10 years and he gets about $18 million, not $27. B) Wacha could be had for $10 million, he'd be an upgrade over Archer or Bundy. I'm all in favor of offering Rodon an extended contract but they haven't paid pitchers beyond 3 years, doubt Rodon changes that philosophy
  24. 13 year contracts for 28 or 29 year old players is what hurts baseball. Twins were right to pass and move on, go get Swanson and maybe 2 cheaper starters. Trade Arraez, you'll need to play Lewis at 3rd when he's healthy. Arraez can bring a good young starting pitcher
  25. Falvey and Levine better get this deal right. Gio was a steady influence in a team where everyone was hurt and he was an above average bat and glove. $9 million for one year shouldn't be the reason to unload him. We currently have no SS and 2 questionable 3rd baseman, neither is an every day 3rd baseman. Lewis won't be back til late June or July and he's now had 2 ACL surgeries. Management cannot screw this up
