    Injuries have always been part of a teams success or lack of success. Great/Good teams have depth with respect to talent and that is a shortcoming for our Twins. The pitching staff and the OF have had key injuries this year and the guys we've rolled out when injuries have happened to those 2 groups, we've struggled.

    Josh Bell is a pro and he's been a pro all summer for this team. No way he comes back with all the young guys on the doorstep but, if this team makes the playoffs, it will because Bell has a special last 5 weeks.

    There's no room for Austin Martin on this roster next year. Culpepper and Jenkins make Martin expendable

    Agree; you want Larnach or Keaschall as your LF, that's the question for the organization. We could also start a healthy list of the number of Twins right now who have no position and figure out what they look like defensively in 2027.

    Jenkins can come Saturday and let it rip, not sure what we're waiting for. Lackey and Tait is interesting. Both are shown to be multiple years away but with Jeffers gone this winter, is Jackson the backup to Caratini or does Tait get a real look?

    Do you Larnach in a platoon DH role or do you see him moved? I can go either way with Larnach, he's had a good year offensively

    I was thinking the same thing. Stop referring to Keaschall as an OF, Roden is proving daily that he can't play 150 games/year, and Martin can be moved whenever. It's crazy that this team is 3 games under .500 and there are about 12 guys on the roster that can be moved.

    I agree that Rojas in the 7th or 8th instead of Rogers is the correct play. Rogers was a mess.last night and there is a place earlier in the game for Taylor. Hoffman, Morris, and Gomez are the last 6 outs in my opinion.

    Maybe fair. I've never seen a professional baseball team where no one can be defined with a defensive position. We have a lineup fill with DH's.

    Ryan might be injured. ERA at almost 10 since All Star break.

    Then put Kriedler in CF, move Keaschall to LF, Larnach to 1st base and Royce can DH. No bigger disappointment defensively than Royce on this team, in my opinion.

    The front office spent some money and addressed the obvious weakness. I'm not going to spend time patting anyome on the back or re-hashing what happened 12 months ago, this team is in the mix and Ryan, Bradley, and Ober will need to be adults in the rotation. Jeffers, Larnach, and Lewis will need to be great offensively for this team to make the playoffs. This is still an uphill walk, but we're moving forward.

    Keaschall in LF is one thing but does not have the arm to play CF. I support a real OF coming up if Buxton can't heal.

    Agree. Management says they are "buyers" and then they trade for a 6.00+ ERA. We need to be better shoppers.

    This is 100% accurate and, one has to believe they will trade Jeffers with FA around the corner. He'll most likely get 3 or 4 years at $18-20 million/year and no way this franchise pays that. Jeffers trade needs to bring immediate 24 man roster value because this division is winnable.

    The Twins won't pay that I'd imagine. If they move both Jeffers and Ryan before Monday, the fan base will go nuts.

    I have also stated that they can upgrade this bullpen without sacrificing great talent and they should do that because this bullpen is awful. Gomez, Funderburk, and Morris are good and getting better but the rest is chaos. You can't let Jeffers become a free agent and get nothing in compensation for him so I believe he's gone. I would offer Ryan a legit 3-4 contract and show the fan base you're serious about getting better.

    There is zero chance that Twins ownership spends $23-$26 million on a starting pitcher at the deadline. They've piece mealed this roster together all year and made to .500. Minimal additions are possible, major losses are more likely.
