  1. What management did to this franchise at the trade deadline was hard to understand and will be hard to fix over a short period. Trading multiple players with years of service for minimal return means the Twins had no bullpen the last 2 months of the year and, honestly, have no resources in the system that any od us have seen. Its giving to be an interesting off-season as this roster gets rebuilt without spending money.
  2. Shelton the right hire for an organization not planning on winning. He wasn't expensive and there is no expectation of being in the playoffs or chasing a ring. Sadly, this hire makes perfect sense
  3. Shelton has experience low budget baseball teams. He'll know where the best buffets are on the road to save meal money for his guys.
  4. World Series? The Dodgers payroll is $350 million, the Blue Jays payroll is $255 million. Those numbers won't come down and Twins ownership can't sustain $140 million. The days of small markets winning championships is done. No salary cap equals no chance for small market teams
  5. So, he's a DH. Your profile of him makes him a poor choice for RF also
  6. I'd like to think he'd be fine at 1st base. He's an average to slightly below average RF in my opinion
  7. Locks for the lineup in 2026 (my opinion): Buxton, Keaschall, Lewis, Lee, Wallner, and Jeffers. Jeffers can't be traded when you have zero options even close to him offensively. Wallner, hometown guy, gets more time; maybe at 1st base? The rest are completely uninspiring, should I say less inspiring, and could be dealt. The roster isn't attractive and it's really depressing to dissect.
  8. Bailey showed this year that his ceiling is 4 or 5 in the rotation. He can't be your 3rd starter when he's hurt or having velocity issues yearly.
  9. Raise your hand if you believe Falvey can make the right hire when we watched the trade deadline debacle. 👎
  10. Luke was a no-brainer for this award. He is truly a potential All Star and, on a team where most of our young players still have a lot to prove, he may be our best offensive player after Byron in 2026. Stay healthy for 162 and let's see who he can be.
  11. The day this fall that the Pholads announcing the Twins were not for sale, I prayed it was April 1st and I'd slept through the winter. Next year, I hope attendance is less than 1 million.
  12. I'm not DFA'ing Larnach but he's traded, Im not shocked. Im keeping Outman.....for now and hoping he becomes the guy the Dodgers thought he could be 2 years ago. There's not one current bullpen guy that I'll miss and I'm including Sands in that discussion
  13. Good read. In order to split Falvey's role, ownership would have to hire and spend more money. They dont want to spend money on players so what makes us think they'll spend money in management? This is a sad product right now and the next manager needs to be experienced and a proven commodity or we're just spinning our wheels.
  14. I believe we back to this times again
  15. Is there 1 pitcher in the bullpen today that you'd expect to be on the roster Opening Day of 2026? I can't see one worth keeping. Sands has been awful the last 6 weeks.
  16. This year there was a bad vibe to start the year and, other than a 13 game winner streak, nothing about 2025 was special. The fire sale on trade deadline day sealed the deal for me in realizing that the Pohlad family has quit. You gave up players with multiple years of time and I have yet to see any of the return show me, we got better for 2026. I believe Bradley will be good for us but Roden, Outman, etc......no thanks. The Twins had the lowest attendance numbers since 2000 and that message should be understood loud and clear by ownership; sell or make the product competitive. It's in the hands of the Pohlad family now.
  17. Not even going to read the article. Rocco and "Best" anything is not an article worth my time.
  18. I'd hate to trade him as well, definitely not my preference. I also believe is our best OF and will be for 2026 as well as 2027. Moving him LF is another sign of not being interested in winning. If you aren't interested in winning, get him to another franchise where he'd have a chance to win and pick up more young assets.
  19. I don't see this making the team better in 2026 because there is no way Jenkins or Rodriguez are ready to play 140-150 games in the majors. If you think he's done in CF, trade him and get more young talent. They aren't trying to win so keeping him and playing him with a bunch of kids who aren't ready to win makes less.sense than trading him in my opinion.
  20. As long as both are "filling in" I'm ok with that. Clemens has played too many games this year to be taken seriously on a team trying to win. In this franchise, he might play every day
  21. Absolutely!! We solidified a roster spot on a team that will most likely win less than 75 games in 2026.. Not the roster I'd like to see being built but this is who they are now.
  22. Agree with this post. Saturday should have been Joe's last stsrt and Pablo should pitch once more and also be shut down. Whether you keep them.or trade them, not pitching is this awful month is best practice. I'd also give Buxton the option of shutting it down. This is, in my opinion, his best year as a Twin and he doesn't need to risk injury in a month where 6 wins is being optimistic.
  23. If the Twins want to be the Miami Marlins, I'm not interestedin supporting them. Just my 2 cents.
  24. He's hitting .215 with 19 HR and 32 RBI. That's a ridiculous ratio of HR to RBI. He has to do more offensively
