  1. He did play in a career high 106 games last year so Google could be wrong.
  2. The longest streak of healthy games for Lewis in his career is 35; according to Google. I'm not sure how he continues to be someone we count on.
  3. Buxton has been a very good Twin. I would not put him on the level of guys who won rings in 87 and 91 or Killebrew, Oliva, Carew, and maybe Allison but, when he's been healthy he's been all the Twins hoped.for. I do believe the right thing to do is get him to a contender and let him try to win a ring but, if not, he'll be a very good leader for this group.
  4. 4 million reasons not to waive him but he doesn't move the needle for me right now
  5. Tend to agree with this take. While all 3 have the "potential" of being very good major league players, this organization is in no position to extend players on potential. There is a ton of work to be done in drafting players, developing players, and then paying players. This ownership group isn't part of the solution right now.
  6. He can get better by practicing while Gray continues to hit. When he stops hitting, run Lee back out there.
  7. I would play Gray until he has 3 straight games without hits. Either Lee gets better with the bat or the Twins move on.
  8. I mean 50% of his hits are home runs. In August, if he has 100 hits.............🤔
  9. I watched his start Saturday and came away encouraged. I was surprised he came out for the 5th but velocity was still very good for 80+ pitches and it being March. Talk me in late June and see how i feel then, but Taj was good Saturday
  10. I was impressed with Bradley's velocity, into the 5th inning, good to see. 4 hits won't win many games but it did yesterday, I'll take it.
  11. I'm hoping Roden goes to St. Paul and forces the hand of leadership. He swung the bat very well this spring.
  12. Good writers know how to spin darkness into daylight and this article attempts just that. 😀 I'll also watch because I love the game of baseball. If I'm truly "optimistic" I would call 75-78 wins a good year based on the Opening Day roster. Rosters can and do change so......we'll see.
  13. It's never a mistake to let guys go who can't help your club and it is the job of the G.M. to make those calls. Zoll doing his job, doesn't call for high 5's in the room. The G.M. has plenty of work to do with the rest of this roster; the OF needs 4 guys and right now I trust 1.5 of the 6 in camp. Still work to do before Thursday.
  14. The rotation, provided Ober and SWR stay healthy and provide more quality starts than not quality starts, is maybe the strength of this team; I think we all figured that to be true. The bullpen and the offense are 2 pieces that I am less confident in and the configuration of both seems like a mess. If the projected wins number is 72.5, I'm taking the under.
  15. How about the 14 we gave up on Sunday? Any rostered pitchers yesterday?
  16. This conversation feels like more evidence of misguided roster building than anything else. 3 guys who can catch, 4 guys who can play 1st base, too many LH hitting OF'ers. 🤦‍♂️ Oh, by the way, the Yankees scored 17 runs in the spring training game yesterday. How's the pitching staff coming together?
  17. Optimism is not growing roots in my summer thoughts on this baseball team.
  18. Our goal is now to be "moderately successful" at 2 positions that require HR and RBI's on successful teams 🙂 This is not meant as a rip but it certainly validates the mediocrity of this organization right now.
  19. I'm also ok with waiting but, honestly, waiting has now cost you your best asset for at least a year and his value has decreased immensely. I've said this earlier, you didn't build this roster to win in 2026 and if someone offers you young prospects for Ryan, especially with Lopez done for 2026, trade Ryan sooner. Start building for 2028 and quit pretending we're competitive now.
  20. "The Twins set themselves up for a mediocre 2026 season at the 2025 trade deadline. They then spent much of the offseason sitting on their hands, as they tried to decide the organization's direction." This paragraph is accurate and, I agree, don't go spend on a SP when you have no expectation of being legit this season. Lots of arms for the rotation from within camp, find who can pitch. Personally, give the ball to Abel or Bradley and see who they are. We're a 70 win team in all likelihood. Let's this roster play this summer.
  21. My thoughts would be this; we aren't winning anything for the foreseeable future so why give up the ship with this kid? Is our priority that he be a SS or an offensive threat? If he can't be both, does a position change make the team better? If we were close to competing I'd certainly understand his need to be a lot better a lot quicker. Since that is not the reality, let's continue to find out who he is and/or how he helps the organization
  22. Let me be the first to tell Mr. Abel that there will be zero pressure in Minnesota!!! It's likely you'll be pitching in front of 12,000 people or less if that helps reduce your stress even more. 😃
  23. There are 2 many starters currently and, I agree, one or two could be very impactful in the bullpen in 2026
  24. Agree with this thought. This story sounds more like, "How do the Mets get better by making a trade with the Twins"?
