  1. I'll pump the brakes on what has been a very good 5 weeks for Lee. I don't believe SS is his long term position but I believe he can be a .270 hitter with doubles being part of his deal. Royce, Wallner, and Keaschall have got to figure it sooner rather than later. The rope on Royce and Wallner can't be very long right now
  2. This is the longest article I've ever read on coaching 3rd base but it might be a sign that we are officially out of articles to write on the squad 😀 I think this an above average coaching staff but they've been dealt a hand that can't win and the best cards in the deck will be gone by the 4th of July. Being a good teacher is important as a coach and this group is a middle school science class in major league baseball. Keep teaching coaches, I appreciate your time and effort.
  3. What the Twins did last July was undo multiple years of work in creating a bullpen that was as good as any in baseball. Tearing down an elite bullpen can't be fixed in one off-season, especially when you traded for LH OF'ers and starting pitchers.. We're going to be reading these articles for the entire summer and it's a drag. SELL THE TEAM, please!!!
  4. We can do an article a week this year on the failings of our bullpen, it will get old quickly. It would be nice to have Roden up and getting AB's soon so we can truly judge the trade.as a whole. Right now, Jays are lapping us.
  5. 100% agree. I will state that the best CF of my lifetime watching the Twins did move to RF at the end of his career. 5 years from now, that might Buxton's move but for now, he's our guy.
  6. Banda could definitely be a DFA option, kind of forgot about him in this process. Outman, with Lewis coming off the IL, could also be gone. When there are 15 guys that are just "ok" on your roster, lots of ways to move people up and down.
  7. The article is a little contradicting, we're making a case a poor offensive player replacing a horrible offensive player, but I'm 100% on board with Outman being DFA'd. I have little interest in Kriedler being our defensive specialist, I'd prefer Roden come up and get some AB's to see who he is. I realize he's another LH bat but the organization did that to themselves so, it is what it is.
  8. He did play in a career high 106 games last year so Google could be wrong.
  9. The longest streak of healthy games for Lewis in his career is 35; according to Google. I'm not sure how he continues to be someone we count on.
  10. Buxton has been a very good Twin. I would not put him on the level of guys who won rings in 87 and 91 or Killebrew, Oliva, Carew, and maybe Allison but, when he's been healthy he's been all the Twins hoped.for. I do believe the right thing to do is get him to a contender and let him try to win a ring but, if not, he'll be a very good leader for this group.
  11. 4 million reasons not to waive him but he doesn't move the needle for me right now
  12. Tend to agree with this take. While all 3 have the "potential" of being very good major league players, this organization is in no position to extend players on potential. There is a ton of work to be done in drafting players, developing players, and then paying players. This ownership group isn't part of the solution right now.
  13. He can get better by practicing while Gray continues to hit. When he stops hitting, run Lee back out there.
  14. I would play Gray until he has 3 straight games without hits. Either Lee gets better with the bat or the Twins move on.
  15. I mean 50% of his hits are home runs. In August, if he has 100 hits.............🤔
  16. I watched his start Saturday and came away encouraged. I was surprised he came out for the 5th but velocity was still very good for 80+ pitches and it being March. Talk me in late June and see how i feel then, but Taj was good Saturday
  17. I was impressed with Bradley's velocity, into the 5th inning, good to see. 4 hits won't win many games but it did yesterday, I'll take it.
  18. I'm hoping Roden goes to St. Paul and forces the hand of leadership. He swung the bat very well this spring.
  19. Good writers know how to spin darkness into daylight and this article attempts just that. 😀 I'll also watch because I love the game of baseball. If I'm truly "optimistic" I would call 75-78 wins a good year based on the Opening Day roster. Rosters can and do change so......we'll see.
  20. It's never a mistake to let guys go who can't help your club and it is the job of the G.M. to make those calls. Zoll doing his job, doesn't call for high 5's in the room. The G.M. has plenty of work to do with the rest of this roster; the OF needs 4 guys and right now I trust 1.5 of the 6 in camp. Still work to do before Thursday.
  21. The rotation, provided Ober and SWR stay healthy and provide more quality starts than not quality starts, is maybe the strength of this team; I think we all figured that to be true. The bullpen and the offense are 2 pieces that I am less confident in and the configuration of both seems like a mess. If the projected wins number is 72.5, I'm taking the under.
  22. How about the 14 we gave up on Sunday? Any rostered pitchers yesterday?
  23. This conversation feels like more evidence of misguided roster building than anything else. 3 guys who can catch, 4 guys who can play 1st base, too many LH hitting OF'ers. 🤦‍♂️ Oh, by the way, the Yankees scored 17 runs in the spring training game yesterday. How's the pitching staff coming together?
