  1. Nice to sweep the series even if it is the lowly White Sox. But if we are being honest here we would have lost two of the three games had we played a decent team. We played rather poorly.
  2. Nice win Twins. It's nice to beat up on a AA team. The White Sox are a disgrace and embarrassment to MLB. But the have a good pitcher throwing on Saturday. But we have a better one in Ober. It's stretch drive time. They need to adjust their starters schedule so that our best are facing the Guardians next weekend. Go Twins.
  3. Yes the keys to the season will be games against Royals and Guards. Yes starting next weekend the Twins need to win 3 of the 4 . Best players must be in the lineup and not given days off. With Rocco you never know what kind if screwy lineups you may get. Go Twins.
  4. Simple fact is Falvey had a choice to add to the team and he did not. To add a player from Toronto from the fringe pile is not acceptable. If that is all Falvey can do he should be replaced.
  5. Let's see how Wallner does over the long haul. Too small of a sample size but yes he's doing well and we are pulling for him!
  6. Since the Twins appear to want to follow the Tampa Bay Ray's baseball model they may as well continue it lol. The first thing this off season would be to trade Carlos Correa. I wouldn't be surprised if they approach him to ask him to approve a trade even though he has a no trade contract. They obviously misled Correa as well. I'm sure he was expecting a organization that wanted to win. Correa is good for the team but for a team that doesn't want to invest in the product, Correa is an unneeded luxury. Plus at this point you almost owe it to Correa to send him to an organization that needs him and appreciate him.
  7. Glad the Twins wone. That was a nice game. The previous two were awful. I guess we are to be happy winning 1 of 3 games against a good team. Twins are 23-32 against teams with winning records. Good thing is we can take that one game win streak and parlay that into a 4 game win streak with a sweep of the lowly White Sox at home this weekend.
  8. Very nice and refreshing story. Well written. I hope he does well and his dreams continue to be filled.
  9. Nice article. Well researched . Way to much info for a meh reliever. I hope he does well. I'm quite sure he will propel us to the playoffs and a world series title.
  10. Twins chose not to do anything mainly to payroll constraints. Although Falvey denies that and says ownership didn't put restraints on. I don't buy it. Many baseball insiders yesterday that were following all the moves other teams made consistently said teams told them the Twins were handcuffed by ownership. IMO Twins blew it.
  11. By the way the Twins are currently 24-34 against teams with winning records. Pretty indicative of where this team stands and the help they needed at the trade deadline.
  12. Wow. Not really surprised about the loss to the Mets. They are hot and we are just meh. Plus we have a terrible record against teams at .500 or better. Not making a trade of any significance was predictable but still pretty disappointing. It was also disgusting listening to Atteberry and Perkins on the radio defending Pohlads and the team not making any moves implying it wasn't due so much to money but everything was too expensive and the players the Twins wanted weren't that great anyways. Really?? Falvey also said he wasn't under money restraints. There was plenty of quality trades made by other teams improving, or at least attempting to improve their team. If this is all Falvey could do was get a hang on reliever from Toronto then he should be fired. Listening to Falvey gush over ownership, then the radio duo backing Falveys play was very well scripted. I hope the Twins finish the season strong but I guess I'm prepared if they dont.
  13. Listening to Derek Falvey talking about how ownership never limited monies at the trade deadline is a joke. It was so obvious he was "sucking up" to his bosses. It made me choke. If it is true they weren't limited then Falvey led be fired immediately. If that one trade at the last minute was all you could do then it's time to find someone else. Even worse was listening to Atteberry and Perkins defending Falvey and his lack of moves was ridiculous. Those guys spewing out the company propaganda is disgusting. The Twins took the fans for a ride this past winter with no moves and a cut in payroll. They continued that with little involvement at the trade deadline and then, after all the trades other teams made they say they couldn't make a deal and it wasn't payroll related? Ridiculous.
  14. I too found the article interesting. But I kept waiting for the Rocco Baldelli part of the story. I also keep waiting for a story critiquing the Twins organization. Not one of those nice, let's not hurt the Twins feelings story. One thing g I'm not waiting for is the Twins to make any significant additions at the trade deadline.
  15. Twins probably will do little to nothing. When it's all said and done they will tell us they tried but since every team is looking for the same thing they couldn't do anything. I suspect they may make a salary dump move to save Pohlads from going bankrupt. Rumors in the local and some national press are indicating payroll will be cut again next year. Oh well the Vikings start playing soon.
  16. I don't expect the Twins to do much of anything at the trade deadline. Perhaps dump Kepler for prospects in a payroll cut. The Twins have a fairly good team with a few holes to be filled. I doubt ownership will let that happen.
  17. I don't anticipate any trades of any significance for the Twins. At least not in a positive sense. I could see them dumping some salary for prospects. But like always they blame everything on the fans. Great timely story. Well done.
  18. Twins won't do much of any significance at the trade deadline IMO. They should find a major league manager. Today's starting lineup against the Tigers is a joke. Looks like another one of Baldellis throwaway games with nk Lewis and no Buxton in the starting lineup. I believe if we had a true manager that cared about winning games more than always following the iron clad "process over results" we would be in first place in the Central
  19. Great article. I totally agree. I'm betting though that ownership will handcuffed the FO once again. If they add salary via a trade they probably will need to either get cash in return or dump an equal amount by getting rid of an existing player or two. I would be surprised if they ask Correa to waive his no trade deal so they can trade him. For ownership, it's only about the money.
  20. Interesting game. Twins kept it close until they didnt. Skubal is awesome and should remain in Detroit. Hoping the Twins win Sunday. I believe Detroit is doing a bullpen game today. I think the game will swing largely on how Rocco manages an apparent bullpen game by the opposition. He usually gets out managed in those games.
  21. I don't anticipate the Twins making a trade of any real significance. Ownership won't allow that to happen. Trading for a top rental starting pitcher would be nice but why give up a good prospect for a pitcher that may only be here for 9 starts? Idk. Plus I'm sure any additional monies the Twins get from the recent agreement with the players association that could be up to 15 million to help offset lost tv revenue will just line the owners pockets.
