  1. Same old Buxton drama. Its been going on for more than a decide. The few times he has played over the past 12 years have been a mix of greatness and mediocrity. The drama needs to end.
  2. I believe this is Joe Ryans third season in which he has had poor performances in the second half. I hope he comes around and has a good 2027. Im so over done about their com.ents it's the process we are worried about and not the results. What a messed up philosophy. This is a results only sport. The results are much more important than the process to getting there.
  3. Interesting lineup projections. Ill take an unpopular stand by saying Buxton cannot be counted on to be in a starting lineup. Hes proven that over the past 12 years. Hoping that he will play most of the years and be productive like he was in 2025 and the first half of 2026 seems foolhardy at best. Jenkins should be playing center field. If it is mandatory to play Buxton put him in left or right to save wear and tear. Since you cant ever count on him he is very disruptive to the roster. Caratini isnt deserving of a spot either. He has turned into a Vasquez type catcher. A lot of good suggestions in your lineup. Without an addition or two to it and the Pitching staff 2027 will be another meh season. If we have one.
  4. Im very glad he is finally here. Nowhere let him play every day no matter how good or bed until the season is over. The notion that they didnt have a spot for him is ludicrous. If you have a prospect as highly touted as him you dont wait for an opening, you create one. Thats what real organizations do.
  5. Im so sick of the whole teams bowing to Buxton and his playing availability. They only pitches him on the 10 day IL? They should have put him our for the season then try to convince him to retire this off season. Even if he comes back there will only be about 15 games left and the Twins way out of it. What's the point?
  6. Until and unless they prove otherwise the current list of cant miss prospects are suspects. All the hype in the world wont help if these future superstars prove to be just prospects. Twins have been touting prospects for many years yet very few make it. Yes there have been some. But if allowed these prospects were so great we would be Perennial World Series contenders instesd barely staying afloat in a sea ok mediocrity. Im hopeful too. Just proven it to me.
  7. Good take from article and readers. Put Buxton on season ending IL and call up a young player to see what he can do. Jeffers was brutal last night. Plus his trotting to first base on the last play of these game was awful. If you can't run out ground balls dont play. Oh well im pretty sure he wont be on the team next year anyway. 4 runs in first was awesome then no offense rest of game. Kind of summarizes the season
  8. Twins are funner to watch this year but still not a very good team. Lots of holes to filled. Still hard to understand their philosophy. Pohlad gloating about adding 8 million to payroll lands flat when you consider it was reduced by nearly 60 million the past year and a half. The players added at the deadline are marginal at best and certainly not better than the players we traded away last year.
  9. Lets blame the entire 2026 Twins failure on Keaschall. Yes I agree he has not been good defensively. Why wasnt he given a position in the minors and taught how to play it? Why after 12 years do we still have Buxton messing cup the outfield roster? In 12years he has only played 2 "full" seasons. And those weren't even really full. They cater to him way too.much. he has been awful yhe past couple of months. He is unplayable. His insistence on playing whenever he can just in case he actually does something good is ridiculous. Keaschall was bad yesterday but so was thePitching. What has gappened to Royce ,i dont do slumps? Put Keaschall in one of the corner outfield spots. Set Buxton down for season and bring Jenkins up to.play center. I hope if he gets here and doesn't play up to people's expectations that they will give him a break.
  10. Not surprised but still very disappointed in their series against the A's. Its best to forget this silly post season chase and plan for next year, if there is a next year. Play some young call ups and start evaluating if they have a real shot a major league baseball or if their cant miss status is just hype and hope.
  11. The Twins performances on this 1-5 road trip should finally putting the "contender" Twins into play for next year mode, if there is one. Catering to Buxton and his inability to play needs to stop. Again, the wheels seem to stop when is comes to Buxton. Fact is he is unplayable anyway. Call up a couple of younger players and let's them play. Its time to see if these players can help in the future ok just add to the hype.
  12. Twins only had 4 hits. Bradley pitcher well but still gave up 4 runs in less than 7 innings. If Buxton is out, so what? Hes done very little to help the team in recently weeks. He cant hit hasn't hitters a home run into 2 months and has less than 10 RBI during that period. I
  13. I agree with a couple of otherwise posters. Just because we may be headed into a softer schedule doesnt guarantee Twins. After we play the As we have 12 straight games against the white sox and tigers. That's the only 2 teams we play during that nearly 2 week period. I imagine the Sox and Tigers are looking at playing the Twins is their chance to claim playoff status and improve their position in the standings. The writer says if the Twins go 5-1 against the Sox they are in greatly shape. I submit they could just as easily go 1-5. Let's hope Twins do well. They are so unpredictable. The need to sweep the As. If we somehow lose the series to the lowly As they are in big trouble.
  14. Interesting article. Perhaps over done. The Larnach haters have been around for quite sometime. Where were they when he was doing well? Now they, including the writer of the article, again are coming out of the perverbial woodwork. Couldn't the same issues be raised for Buxton for the past 2 months? What about Clemens? He was barely over the .100 average for a few weeks until improving just recently. These over-analyzed articles ignore the fact that all players slump at some point during the season. Most rebound at some point. Yes we need Larnach back to his productive self for the team to have a chance. Ditto for Buxton, joe Ryan, kody Clemens etal.
  15. The Twins have been very resilient this year. They have out played their predictions in a gutsy way. Here it where the the story lacks credibility. Its from Fangraphs. One of the least respected outfits out there. Its all conjecture with Fangraphs. They do a good job of twisting analytics to support their claims. Imagine that: The Twins are the only team that has had to real with injuries. Oh whoa is me. I think they have done well considering their injuries. Go Twins.
  16. Glad it went well for Lopez. I had forgotten that this was his second Tommy John surgery. I sure hope he is ready for next season in what could likely by his last season with the Twins.
  17. Well a very tough loss indeed. Twins desperately need a win Sunday and a sweep against the As. Everyone talks about Culpeppers throwing to third. Way doesnt anyone mention Jeffers boneheaded catchers interference play to start the inning? Not good for a veteran catcher. Come on Bailey Ober. We need you!
  18. Where would the Twins be thus year without Josh Bell? Hes been very good most of the season. He leads the team in RBIs and is excellent clutch hitter. I think he is a free agent at end of season. Falvey? Glad hes gone.
  19. Great article with Gerry Rafferty tie in. Well done. Cant win too many games with only two hits. Overall one of their mode boring games of the season.
  20. Nice sweep Twins. Id also like to thank the Atlanta Braves for playing uninspired ball and just seemingly disinterested in playing. Thanks also for removing Ssle from his scheduled start against the twins so he can face the Brewers. Thanks Twins for doing a great job taking advantage of thus. Well done Twins!!
  21. The fact that Kody is (was) in a slumps is unfortunate but not all that serious. Byron Buxton is in like a 3 for 33 slump. He hasnt hit a homerun since June and has like 2 RBI since then. And those were from field choices where an out was recorded. He looks lost at the plate and has missed 40 games this year. Yet he always gets a pass on his poor play.
  22. Good article. MLB and other pro sports moving games to pay services is further proof of pro sports becoming a playground for the wealthy. Watching games is frustrating in itself. There are so many distractions during the games and consequently less emphasis on the game itself. Take they Twins fir example. They like most clubs have sideline reporters feeding us mostly nonsense during the game. Take our own Audra Martin. She ruins the broadcast IMO. She talks about mostly nonsense bubbles bs interviews and commentary from the standd while the game in still on. She talks over the announcers like Cory Provus a lot. She must think people tune in Twins.tv to watch her. Very annoying and take from the reason the games are on; watch the Twins game not the Audra Martin game.
  23. Yes indeed tough decisions for next years roster. Its a good problem to have i guessing. The desire to be a mediocre team ( that's what a .500 team is) will do that. I suspect Larnach will be gone. I also suspect Ober may be gone. What abouy Jeffers? Going to lose him for basically nothing? Oh yes that supplementary draft pick. Big deal. Hes worth more than a deaft pic that may be nothing. They should have traded him IMO. Olso Pedro Lopez and his 21.5 million next year is in question. Hiw will he perform after sitting out thus year? I dont see the Twi s keeping him past next yesr with such a lofty salary. Andover what about Josh Bell? There's a lot of Bell haters here but he leads the team in RBI nearing 80. FanGraphs is a joke. They conti ually over rate players salary expectations vs performances.
  24. Another in a long line of Byron Buxton articles. He sure gets a lot of coverage for a part time player. Moving him to a corner outfield makes a lot of sense. That way he can miss a lot of games at a new position.
  25. Hiw can anyone count on Buxton and count on him producing? He has missed over 40 games against this year. He is not in Tuesdays starting lineup, which is good because he has become an automatic out the past few weeks. All the hype on these prospects and we still have players on the roster that wouldn't make mostly teams. Im certainly not sold on Zol as GM. They still stock their roster with questionable talent.
