    Yes i totally agree. Tristan Gray doesn't belong on this team. For a team that says they want to be aggressive and compete they sure have an odd way of showing it. We sure handle our prospects strangely. 3 catchers? And Jeffers didn't even play. Your article is spot on. The Twins have had a strange mix of players. It's worked decently but could be better.

    Nice unexpected come from behind win. Nice walk-off hit by Lewis. I hope it's the start of a hot streak. Hes been shuffling for a while. Buxton? What can you say? We've been putting up with this for over a decade. It's frustrating because you can't count on him to play everyday. Lets sweep the Royals and then prepare for some tougher opponents coming up. Go Twins!!

    At some point, maybe not this season idk, those great prospects we keep hearing about need to be utilized. It's nearing time to play them or use some of them as trade chips to improve the major league roster. They have been telling us the prospects are great. Let's see.

    No one Castillo. Hes not much better than we have. We have plenty of excess to trade from to get a quality pitcher.

    I really don't expect the Twins to go on a spending spree and trade for expensive players. IMO the team is only in contention due to the overall mediocrity in the American League. They really aren't much different than last years team. Twins have it tough in that they have a chance but have so many needs they can hardly be called contenders.

    Yes it would be prudent to trade Jeffers. Don't settle for a crapshoot compensatory draft pick. Get something decent for him now. Trade him this week.

    Buxton last Homer's was June 22, against the Dodgers i believe. But to be fair he was on IL for part of it. But that's part of Byrons history with Twins. And yes so many times, like now, he looks lost at the plate. Lewis the same thing. Sunday I think the Twins will win big. Then everyone will be telling us how great they are. The team at least record wise and standings wise isn't much different from their position last year. Even after all those trades they are still stuck in mediocrity. Which is pretty good in the American.League I guess. Go Twins!

    Very negative in your face article! You write stories for Twins Daily that usually supports differing opinions. Then slam those same people that don't agree with your opinion. One of the many things wrong with baseball IMO (there im doing it too) is telling us how to be fans. Don't go there. Baseball is already in bad shape. But thanks for your opinion anyway.

    Bottom line is Twins stunk Friday night. The A's had only won 3 games all month before last night. Bad loss. Now the really must win last 5 games of homestead against very bad teams to stay pretenders.

    Lackay was a good choice for the Twins and for him. After all getting a 9.5 million signing bonus isn't bad for not playing even 1 pro game. We will see how this all works out. But every year it's the same thing about great drafting and great prospects. Then why do we have a floundering major league team? If all these prospects are as good as all the hype we should be world series contenders every year. But here we are just an average/below average team. Somehow I do t feel nearly as encouraged as the author of the article.

    People clamoring to get rid of the veterans for the prospects make some sense. But many of the veterans are what is driving the team. I do agree that we need to get Jenkins and a couple of other prospects up to the Twins to get their feet wet and see what they can do.

    It's great the made a big deal of Josh Bells 10 year mark because the game turned out to be no big deal. The Twins have been outscored 34-9 in the last 4 games. Not a good direction. Like they say, they are what they are: a middling team with no sense of direction.

    Ryan pitched a dud when the team need just t h e opposite from him. My concern with Ryan is he hasn't pitched well the second halves of the season the past few years. It's scary that we are essentially throwing a bullpen game Tuesday after only 5 games since the all star break. I hope they do well and gain at least a split in Cleveland then beat up on the As and Royals on next homestead. Go Twins..

    It's a great pick. Now we just have to watch his progress and see if he belongs on the hype train like so many other players we have. We keep being told how great they are but most of our top prospects don't even have one major league game or at bat experience. The hype is in. Can the prospects live up to the hype?

    Fantasy land. Why would the Twins want to get rentals like Gray. Gausman etc for two months? Even paying just the prorated price of an incoming expensive contract doesn't fit this organization. They may make a mi or addition or two but I dont see them going crazy. I can understand if they trade Jeffers. We will see what happens but IMO I wouldn't expect any big splashes.

    Yes i think Roden is on his last leg with the Twins. Perhaps another organization can give him an opportunity. Keep in mind for all the hype and accolades, Jenkins, Rodriguez Kulpeppers have done NOTHING yet at the major league level. We are all hoping them and several others start proving themselves at the top level. Too many times we here everyone saying how great the prospects are. They still need to prove it.

    Yes it could be interesting. Then again theses prospects are still suspects while being hyped, maybe over-hyped, by the baseball experts. If they are that good, then get them here or use a few of them as trade bait to improve the Twins roster. Although im hopeful of this group of prospects we have seen this song and dance routine by the Twins for decades. Let's hope it works this time.

    Well they recently put Abel on the 60 day disabled list so unfortunately it pretty much ends his season. I was sure wrong about the Twins so far. I suggested at the start of season they woild be battling the White Sox for last place. We'll they are battling the Sox for first place. Go Twins.

    A serious team woukd realize they are playing better in a league full of underperforming teams. IMO they need to follow the philosophy of the Brewers and Rays. Trade your better players when their value is high for even better prospects. Playing the middle ground between

    Yes. Trading Jeffers is a must since we risk losing him in free agency for nothing. All we here about are these great prospects we have. It's fast approaching the time to play them or trade them. Unless of course they aren't as good as all the hype. But we will never know unless they play.

    Imagine that. Another Keaschall hater. So sick of it. IMO hes still very young to be knocking him down. Young players make mistakes. Must be patient with these young players. We've been very patient with Lewis and many others. Expecting Keaschall to hit Homer's is ludicrous. Not everyone is a home run hitter. I believe Keaschall has all the tools. Give him a break.

    OMG another Byron Buxton story about trade rumors. How many times can you re-write the same thing? The story, like Buxton, is starting to get old. Byron has all the decision making here. He is probably staying. He says he is staying so why can't we end it at that. It's becoming more and more if a non story or filler. Buxton has done well by the Twins as a part time player throughout his career. Buck is good for the Twins. He is good for them. He likes it here. He says he is going to stay. End of story?
