  1. My expectations for the Twins are at an all time low. But maybe that's good. But the current list of "can't miss prospects" are just different names to add to the fire. Guys that were supposed to be super But are barely hanging on. It will be fun to see how the younger players develop under Shelton. After all he had a great run in Pittsburgh. Right? Go Twins!. Still love you but not buying into the continued hope and hype. Im done being fooled. You will have to prove it to me this time.
  2. No extra confidence in their decision making. If this were true many of those "can't miss" prospects we keep hearing about would have been kept on the 26 man roster. Time will tell. Dumping veterans may work. What we have left are just as suspect. Going to be a very long and boring summer of Twins baseball im afraid.
  3. It's going to be a long tough year for many of us Twins fans? Lewis will play third to start. However he needs to step up big this year or its time to dump him. I think this would have been the year to start a couple of those "can't miss" prospects since the team isn't going to compete. There surely isn't much to get excited about this year. Plus the bullpen will probably battle for the worst bullpen in baseball.
  4. Very interesting decision on Liam. Another story i read from a national source said Hendrix asked for his release. Oh well I guess it doesn't really matter as apparently tge Twins didn't want him anyway. So the leftover candidates don't give a person any hope at all. Some of those guys couldn't make a AAA team. Oh my its going to be a very long season.
  5. Im sure it will be interesting to see which players make the 26 man roster. But after 6 decades of following Twins baseball i have never seen or felt this much apathy for the Twins. I certainly understand it and agree. There is very little here to get excited about or even interested in. The question will be when will they be eliminated from any serious contention thoughts. Also will they lose 100 games. Maybe set another new attendance low at Target Field. It is so sad what has happened to our Twins!!
  6. Yes indeed. Just another in a long list of can't miss prospects. Hype and hope. Does that sound familiar? Just the names seem to change. After all these years of reading about all these great prospects then watch almost all of them fizzle out im not buying the hype anymore. Prove it on the major league field then we can talk about it.
  7. OMG it's a little early for this isn't it? Besides he will probably either be a dude or grossly underperform in the majors. Just more hype. Nothing new here.
  8. Nothing changes with this organization. Considering keeping a washed up over hyped player like Outman because they may lose him if they DFA him. No options left. But other players may get sent down or traded because Outman has no options. There's a lot of negativity here regarding Larnach but I would take him anytime over Outman. Then you have the great Shelton telling us how great many of the young players played this spring but sent them out anyway. This team will be lucky to win 70-75 games this year as it is. Oh my. What are we doing
  9. Like always with Twins prospects it's always way too much hype. If and when he debuts in 2026 Jenkins must play everyday for better or worse as they say. Too many great prospects have been ruined as the Twins call up a player that plays full time in Minors only to play part time on the big squad. The Twins do a great job of ruining a lot of these so called can't miss prospects.
  10. I figure them to be middle of the pack. But at the end of the day it doesn't really matter. They are just suspects until they prove otherwise. We have had plenty of those the past several years.
  11. Interesting article in that it just validates what most of us have been thinking. That this team has very little chance of being competitive now and no direction for the future development of the team. I hope i am wrong but this could be one of the bleakest years and outlook in recent memory.
  12. Well you can't get much worse than Ober was last year especially counting on him to be good. 2026 is going to be difficult for sure. 70 wins? Maybe 65?
  13. The names in the bullpen, with or without Topa, don't instill much confidence. Most of them are cartoons and hopefuls that were discarded by most of the other teams. Topa is no better or worse than the rest of them IMO.
  14. 3 catchers? It doesn't seem too reasonable to me. But with this messed up roster, who knows??
  15. Is this all Twins Daily can write about? Another monthly installment of preaching to us how great Buxton is. Oh please move on.
  16. Pretty typical Lewis stuff. Great to be cautious during spring training games. I would expect that when the season is over Lewis will have wound up playing in about 75 games.
  17. Good article. Looking at all those names doesn't instill much confidence in the upcoming season. Brutal roster. But good article.
  18. OMG another example of analytics on steroids. Yes even the goofiness is affected by dreamed up and stretched out stats designed to make a player look a lot better than he is. Who cares if he doesn't have options left? Who cares if they cut him and lose him for nothing? Let him go.
  19. That list of players competing for the last roster spots doesn't instill much confidence for a competitive team. What a mess the Twins have. Plus their current payroll of aroun
  20. Bottom line is it appears to me they will be out of contention by memorial day. Their attendance will drop again this year. I just don't see where they have done anything to i.prove the team this off season .
  21. I agree with the article. Ryan should have been traded well before Lopez injury. Lopez should have been traded way before this too. He had an injury riddled season last year and with a high salary on a low budget team he should have been dealt. Ryan the past two seasons has had great first half but very mediocre second halves. He should be dealt while the Twins can get something good for him. This teams lack of any meaningful additions this off season is a clear indication they had no intention of being competitive in 2026. They should also give serious consideration to trading Jeffers as he will be a free agent soon. Ask Buxton to waiver hus no trade clause and send him out too.
  22. So sad to see Pablo go down for the season. Now we will get to see if their starting depth is as great as they have been telling us. I have my doubts
