  1. Typical strange move by Twins. Funderburk isn't perfect but statistically was the third best option. And while sending down Funderburk is being justified by some my opinion is it would have been more justified to release Garcia, Bandai, or even Topa that statistically keep proving they don't belong here and why other teams didn't want them.
  2. Why in the world did tge Twins bring up lefty reliever Rojas and send fellow lefty Funderburk down on Sunday. Funderburke was one of the few guys in the bullpen doing fairly well. They sure had other candidates to send down or DFA. Big slap in the face to Funderburke. Such a messed up organization.
  3. Need we say anymore? Sending down Klein and keeping stiffs like Bands and Garcia shows how totally ineptitude this so-called organization is!
  4. Your article commented about how the Twins played so poorly against a bad team. That's a very good point. So to is the fact that the Twins are a bad team. Why sugar coat it? With Woods-Richardson Pitching on Thursday afternoon the chance of winning woukd seem low.
  5. Only 2.5 games out? Big deal. Thus is not a major league baseball team. Way too many holes and what ifs. Ive been supporting a Ryan trade and Lopez and Jeffers for several months? Why? Because the Twins are a team stuck in the mud and going nowhere. Tgey should have traded both Ryan and Lopez when they had the chance. They could have gotten decent value. Now Lopez will bring you very little after he recovers from Tommy John surgery. Ryan has already had a few injuries. They blew their chance months ago with a false provado of contending. The other day there was only 3 of the 15 American League teams with a record over 500. That will change as the pretenders are separated from the real contenders. The Twins real contenders? Who among us watches them and thinks they are contenders? They have some promising players but the are not contenders in 2026.
  6. Some of these current "can't miss" prospects seem to divide their time between the playing field and injury list. It never seems to end. We already have a roster with "can't miss" on their resume' languishing on the 26 man.
  7. Very good article. Bottom line is the Twins bullpen is, as predicted, a mess and looks to stay that way.
  8. When are we going to give more serious discussion about Royce Lewis? I'm sorry but he has turned into a flop. If he doesn't get and stay hot he needs to go. Wallner? They have been very patient with him. He's a strikeout machine, hits for a sub 200 average and produces very little. Both he and Lewis look totally lost at the plate and not good in the field either.
  9. There are a lot of times I miss the days of starting pitchers having complete games. Pitchers were expected to pitch the whole game. If they didn't go at least 7 innings it was considered a failed performance. Blyleven had 60 career shutouts.
  10. Lewis continues to struggle offensively and defensively. Wallner is getting unwatchable. He can't hit.
  11. I know there is a lot of negativity around Larnach and I understand that to a degree. But this lefty on lefty platooning involving him is interesting. They platoon him but what about Wallner? Why is he allowed to play regularly? He is an equal opportunity strikeout. He looks bad against both lefties and eighties. Yest he keeps batting against lefties. He surely can't be better than zlarnach against lefties. Can he?
  12. It may work out and it may not. Just another typical Twins low budget deal.
  13. Let's hope it is a short time on the dl and that the injury doesn't linger. I always worry when a pitcher is diagnosed with inflammation in his Pitching elbow.
  14. I still remember two years ago they won 12 straight and missed the playoffs. Last year they won 13 in a row and finished 20 games or so below .500. Just enjoy it while we can.
  15. The Twins had to dump Correa. Too expensive and surely didn't play to a superstar level. I blame Falvey for mis using the $35 million per year that they were allowed to pay Correa by the Ownership. Poor job of payroll management. Could have gotten 3 or 4 decent players for that amount.
  16. Yes the umps seem to umpires differently. It's amazing how the strike zone expands after a team or both teams are out of challenges.
  17. So how much is Heffers worth? With Scott Boras as his agent probably way too much for the Twins. I'd love to have him signed for a reasonable amount but I just don't see the spend thrift Twins committing to that. If that is the case they will need to trade him before losing him for nothing.
  18. Oh my. Another over done story about Byron Buxton. Can we get on to someone else? Its just another article explaining away long slumps by using all kinds of "analytics" to explain slumps. Byron, like everyone else goes through slumps. It looks like hes coming out of it. He will be fine. He always is.
  19. Yes the results look great so far. But its funny how the writers will use phrases like "its still early" or "its a small sample size" when their favorite player is struggling. But they seldom use those lines to describe a person when they are talking about players doing unexpectedly well. Yes its too early and its a small sample size for Bradley. Let's see how it goes. Very good article Nick!
  20. Ryan will be fine. Yes its early and the weather has been lousy. Those are typical excuses used when performances are not up to snuff so to speak. IMO that's what Fip and many analytics show. People use the analytics to explain away negative statistics but that is a losers situation. Ryan is ok. It's the weather, bad luck, and no one in the stands. Just saying we have excuses for it all. Ryan is ok.
  21. I think the story should center on the poor attendance not on the broadcast .
