What is Kyler Fedko’s Job?
Whitey333 replied to Greggory Masterson's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Following the Twins can not only be frustrating but confusing. So you bring up a good full time outfielder with good credentials. So why would he only be part time? Although the writer of this article doesn't work for the Twins he's decided how it all works out. Maybe he's right. If he is it surely adds to the confusing part. Twins frequently take full time players and platoon and they play 2-4 times per week. Then when they don't perform to their expectations they demote them or ship them out. Maybe they are positioning themselves for the trade deadline. I hope he does well. Im pulling for him. I just don't think they will keep him long no matter how well he does.- 42 replies

Nice article Nick. It's one thing to lose that's bad enough. But overall they play poo baseball. Buxton? 20 Homer's is very good. He finally hit a 3 run Homer the other day. But he's not Mr. Clutch. I believe he is 0 for 23 this season with runners in scoring position with 2 outs. Draft picks? Hard to get too excited by the Twins upcoming draft based on their history the past several years. I hope they turn it around soon. It would be nice to watch the Twins play good baseball .

Since the Twins were 11-7 early in the season they have since gone 19-31 in their past 50. Plus most of that time they played like we thought they would, poorly. Getting so tired of Buxton. Yes he has 19 home runs. But this k if this as he definitely isn't Mr. Clutch. He is 0-22 this season in driving in runs with 2 outs and runners in scoring position. Tuesday after he got a cookie pitch to hit a home run he struck out 4 times and looked very bad at it too. This is a bad baseball team and all the pitching woes and Injuries doesn't help.

The Twins Need to Cash in on Kody Clemens Right Now
Whitey333 replied to Sam Caulder's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Interesting article. Very possibly could trade Clemens. The same reasoning for trading him can be said of trading Ryan, Jeffers, and maybe even Buxton if he waves his no trade clause. If you have no intention for contending you may as well trade them while you can get good value in return (hopefully). -
He will likely be traded for prospects. I don't see giving him a QO for 23 million when they have been cutting payroll for quite some time now. And if somehow the Twins were given $23 million more in payroll it wouldn't make much sense to spend it on one player when you could get 3 or 4 players for that 23 mil.

Twins Acquire Justin Lawrence to Bolster Bullpen
Whitey333 replied to Cory Moen's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
Just another ho hum bullpen pitcher that another team dumped. I hope he does well here. It's just the continued process of throwing something at the wall and see if it sticks. -
It is strange that Outman keeps a spot on this team. He provides very little and produces even less. But they keep him? Don't they have ANYOBE in minors to promote? If not then this team is in much worse shape than I thought. Outman must have something on someone. It sure isn't that he is a major league baseball player.

Joe Ryan and the Elephant in the Room
Whitey333 replied to Nick Nelson's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Yes the Twins should trade Ryan and probably Jeffers too. I just don't see the Twins paying upwards to $30 million per year to Ryan. He is g -
Good article but perhaps a little overblown. It shouldn't affect the Twins so much as they have a reputation for having prospects linger in the minors. They should be happy because then their service time clock will be presumably held back. Walker and Gonzales near ready? How do we know that? They are on the injured list as much if not more than playing.

Count me in as one that is pleasantly surprised about the Twins overall play. They sure are performing better than I thought they would. Also count me in as one of the skeptical ones that is waiting for the other shoe to drop so to speak. Im trying to enjoy their play. I do like Shelton much better than Rocco. Time will tell. Go Twins. It is SO much funner when you win or at least play well.

What Does Royce Lewis Need to Improve at Triple-A?
Whitey333 replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
The Twins were right in sending him down to St. Paul. He has looked totally lost at the plate for a long time. He needs to stay there for an extended period not for just a couple of weeks. He seems to worry about his mechanics on each pitch. Nothing seems smooth and natural. Maybe he's got information overload from so many people telling him so many things, sometimes conflicting things. Maybe he should ignore them all for a time and just be himself. -
Contending team? Mainly because they play in a terrible division. They certainly are not serious contenders in the overall scheme of things. I admit to this point they have played better than I thought. It's fun watching them when they play decent baseball. They have a long way to go to join the better teams

What about Buxton? Why didn't they put him the dl instead of not being able to use his roster spot? Jeffers im sure will not be with the Twins next year. Maybe not even the end of this year.

What Should the Twins Do at First Base?
Whitey333 replied to Ray Stuedemann's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Proving players hit in bad luck is dicey and also somewhat suggestive. Plus it's a good excuse for poor performances. Poor free agent signings may be a better answer.- 84 replies

Sometimes I think Lewis keeps getting his head filled with so much that it's hard to concentrate. So many different coaches telling him how to do things. Perhaps if he just said " screw them" and just hit like he used to and not worry about all the mechanics and stuff idk. Something has to change though.

E-Rod on injured list again!! Walker Jenkins on injured list again!! They are on the injured list more than they play. So jow do you count on either of them if they can't stay on the field?

They sure are showing a ton of patience with Wallner. And Lewis too for that matter. SWR same thing. It's rapidly approaching time to move on from these players.

The Minnesota Twins Might Have a New Closer
Whitey333 replied to Cody Schoenmann's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
I won't feel better until they dump some of the dead weight in the bullpen. I'd rather have younger guys Pitching with at least some potential than these retread old timers trying to hang on. But our new closer after less than 2 innings? Laughable.
