  1. If there are 3 guys on the twins that will crew up 180+ innings, it's Maeda, Berries, Dobnak. It's more important to finish a game strong than anything else so let Dobber tag team Happ or Shoe. By June, someone will miss a start and Dobnak will step in just fine. I predict both Dobber and Thorpe will be on the playoff roster!
  2. I agree with big dog. Rooker should get a chance to keep the LF job if in fact he opens the season in Milwaukee. I'd say the same for Cave if they play him on Day 1. If I were the FO, I would have to Kiriloff that no matter what his ST has gone that he is the guy in LF and he just needs to be one of nine every day. Let him struggle, thrive settle in as the season goes by. Maybe it's not his time yet? Maybe that's a next year decision for the FO.
  3. I'm excited about the twins' money ball pitching options this year. Seems like we have an above average floor with lots of depth!! It's a thick foundation. The ceiling over 162 games depends on getting a couple outliers to over perform (Law, Robles, Waddell etc.) and a young arm or two to develop into the next solid inning eaters (Dobnak, Thorpe, Alcala, Duran). If these all perform well, The Twins will win ALOT of games.
  4. Not saying the model is bad or inept but Eloy Jimenez should be #1 on the list.
  5. I bet Thorpe and Dobnak will have personal season high innings pitched this year. Anyone not performing well in the BP or SP will give up their innings to them and most likely Duran by end of July. Its going to be an exciting season!!!
  6. Welp. AK was optioned today so we won't see him until june.
  7. Great point. Where is Canterino on the list?
  8. Is Cave out of options? Garlick has had a monster spring training and deserves to be in Milwaukee opening day. Kiriloff should be as well, give his confidence a boost!
  9. Somehow the twins need to fit dobnak and Thorpe on the 26 man by may. Hopefully it's not because of injury.
  10. Kenta Maeda. The twins didn't give up 4 or 5 players/ draft picks.
  11. The only thing better than a swinging strikeout at a pitch out of the zone, is a call 3rd strike on a pitch on the corner that freezes the batter.
  12. The twins aren't going to trade any top 20 prospects. They love to develop and keep talent in house, even if the talent underperforms expectations.
  13. Play the best players. Kiriloff starts in LF opening day in Milwaukee. Twins are set up to win now and compete for championships for years to come. Absolutely no reason to mess with team control when it's probable that 3 years from now they will sign him to 7-8 year extension.
  14. I want to drink with the guy in the stands yelling at Alcala
  15. I agree Doc! I thought he was already granted the 4th year. Regardless, Thorpe will be going to milwaukee for opening day. I watched some video of his last outing. He looks really bulky compared to 2020.
  16. Wait until Royce is in a batting cage in September and crushing the ball next march. Simmons would be a great plan B for 2022.
  17. We are such a better team when Donaldson and is in the lineup. The Twins are a better team than 2019 when everyone is healthy. Is a baseball leaving a bat at 110mph considered "knocking on wood"?
  18. Alcala definitely needs another pitch. Depending on the 3 batters due up in a tight game regardless of 7th 8th or 9th inning, I would be colome' gets at least half the fireman innings. Beyond that, I'm loving the depth of our pen aswell as the diversity of styles and approaches.
  19. Probably won't matter much if they out pace 2019 as a team. I'd still pick Cruz tho.
  20. The window for multiple championships is wide open for years. The last decade of painful losses should finally be behind us!
  21. Rose colored glasses over here but I see above average depth at every position.
  22. I'd prefer to see Sano play 150+ games and the rest that are filled in shouldn't matter too much. It's his 28yr season which should be something that legends are made of.
  23. I believe the twins are legit 13 deep in RPs. Throw in Wes Johnson and the analytics. Twins will show a solid A thru out 2021.
  24. Keep Rooker, shop Cave. No rush tho.... Let nature take it's course.
