  1. Way to early. League is still learning Walner. Like Larnach the inside cutter could become an issue. They seem to be throwing it more to him. Hope he is not another Miranda. We all thought he was at 3rd for next 10 year. Then Pitchers figured him out.
  2. Trouble with Julien is he is atrocious in the field. His transfer skills on double plays are lousy. And he plays so deep to try and get easier hops that players beat out hits and are safe on double play balls because of how deep he plays. Even his recent hitting makes it appear league is figuring him out like they did with Miranda. So don't count on him yet!
  3. Gallo is automatic out. But don't get another dud. Give some kid a chance.
  4. Your #2 is absurd!! Twins need to look beyond the division. They have the starting pitching to make some noise in the playoffs. But the Pen is certainly sub-par. That's where they needed to focus. Who cares about just winning the weakest division. That is nothing to pat yourself on the back for. Look to win a playoff series or two!! Again it looks to be a pocketbook thing!!
  5. Twins Fans are so Sano-Like on Buxton! They hurt the team in long stretches. 2-3 weeks. Then they hit a couple long home runs and all of a sudden they are HOF material! So amusing to hear!!
  6. Not only can't Buxton play CF but when he does get on he is not even stealing bases. Good article but it misses a key point! That is, what in the heck is the Hitting Coach doing? He has not fixed one hitter!! Buxton, Kepler, Larnach, Gallo, Miranda, Correa, Taylor. Not one improvement!?
  7. Ridiculous having the face of your franchise that can't play the field!! And he has not shown he can be a clutch hitter like in the 9th inning with two on. Strikes out way too much. Teams don't even pitch around him in key spots.
  8. Biggest move I would make? Hitting Coach!! Rowson had everyone hitting with the Bomba Squad. Our guy has not fixed one player since he got here!! Send him packing!!
  9. Wish people would quit writng Julien is the future for the Twins. In his trial his fielding was suspect and hitting was abysmal!! Nothing showed he can be the long term solution!!
  10. "As advertised behind the plate"? Not really. Almost all of his throws to 2nd tail badly to the right plus he has a lot of balls that get away from him at the plate. Looks like a horrible deal. Twins need more production from the catcher position!
  11. May was better overall but NOT when the Twins needed his bat. Lot of hits that were meaningless. Twins paid for clutch hits!!
  12. Not sure about next year but RIGHT NOW but Kepler in CF. Taylor is automatic out. Bring Wallner back for RF (8 Straight on base) and send Julien down and put Farmer or Lewis at 2nd. That gets all the bats and some new blood into the lineup.
  13. Rocco was hired for one reason. He is a YES MAN. Meaning when Levine and Falvey say jump he says "How High"? Many things are out of his control but some are not. Pagan should have been sent to St Paul. Instead Rocco let him work on fixing himself in live big league games. That hurt the team and was a slap in the face to the other players. Now same with Griffin Jax. He can't throw strikes. Even his outs are hard hit. Should be in St. Paul. Not working out his issues in the 7th or 8th innings. And what is the Pitching Coach doing? Has not fixed any relievers!! And there sits Rocco, staring into that Binder he has on the bench telling him what to do!! Watch the game Rocco! It tells you what you should be doing.!!
  14. Poor results in the Pen acquisitions but why wait so long to do SOMETHING? Move Varland to the Pen. Bring up a couple kids. Do SOMETHING!! Night after night same thing. Great starts and then Pen comes in and can't throw strikes!! Insanity is doing the same thing over and over hoping for à better result! We should have a 8-10 game lead with these starters!!
  15. Larnach has been up and down at the plate but then add in his limited outfield range and his lack of knowledge on how to play an outfield wall and it could be time to make a change!
  16. Forget worrying about the starting pitching. It is the Pen that is a disaster! AGAIN!! Ryan goes 6 shutout last night. Should have gone 7 (Thanks Rocco!) but Pen comes in and gives it away. Nobody in Pen has shown they can shut anybody down. Have cost at least 5 games already!! Like last year Rocco keeps hoping someone will step up. Current group doesn't offer much hope. Either bring up some kids or màke a trade!
  17. Cody: Have you been watching games? Pen has been anything BUT solid!! Almost time to panic. It is much like last year. When the Pen comes in you can only cross your fingers. Nobody seems to want to take control and be the consistent shut-em down guy! Way too many walks and then a bloop and game is tied. Then more walks and a single - lead gone. Maybe St Paul can help?
  18. Good review but you missed a couple issues. Kepler is a big one. The new shift rules haven't produced the better results for Kepler. We have to get more production from RF. Pitching has been great but on the 2nd and 3rd time through reality is setting in. We are good with Lopez, Gray and Ryan. After that concerns have popped up. Maeda's arm weakness is a major set-back. Hope we don't play that out too long. Let him rehab in St. Paul. Ober probably needs to be up sooner than later.
  19. Instead of thinking he has a bunch of big leaguers I wish Gardenhire would work on teaching. Not one of the young outfielders he has sent up have a clue on how to play an outfield wall!! And Kiroloff doesn't know how to play the wall coming off first. Isn't that part of Gardenhire's job?
  20. Why is Pagan even on the roster. Completely failed in every clutch situation last year down the stretch. This year two hits in his inning plus even his outs were hit hard. He is not fooling anyone with his pitches and has lost enough on his fastball that it is like batting practice. Move on from him and give a kid that slot.
  21. Stop calling Jeffers the future. His arm is so limited and the league has figured out he can't hit a curve ball. Just like Larnach. Both look like Sano against cutters!
  22. Stop mentioning Larnach. He is a clone of Sano. He can't hit a breaking ball and the league has figured it out!! He needs a full year in St. Paul to figure it out. Plus he can learn how to play the outfield MN wall!
  23. Great. Twins have a legit prospect and of course he has to be a SS!! Maybe spend this year learning a new position!!
  24. With the change in the Shift rule Kep will add 30-40 points to his average. Twins should keep him. Larnach should be the one on the way out. League has figured out he can't hit a breaking ball. Just like Sano. Plus his range is 3 feet to his left and 3 feet to his right and has NO CLUE on how to play the wall. Send him on his way!
  25. Twins coaches need to look in the mirror. Not one of their young Players know how to play an outfield wall. This includes Celistino!! That's on Gardenhire in St Paul and lower level managers!!
