    Twin fans already can hear the excuses. "We gave him a "Fair" offer but it just didn't work out! They have used that line so many times in the past and we all know their definition of "Fair Offer" never matches reality!! The best 2-way left side of the infield the Twins have had in years will be gone to save the money. We all know that!

    If they don't get quality pitching it doesn't matter but they will go the cheap way and put Polanco back at SS and Arrez at 2nd.

    Wow! Keeping same staff expecting different outcome. Isn't that the definition of insanity? Hitting has not been the same since Twins let Rowson (Bomba, Squad) walk for a few dollars. Hitting coach should have been replaced. And Watson at 3rd with so many bonehead throw outs at the plate??

    Palacious a better option? Kidding right? Did you watch any games? He was over matched on almost every at bat. Looked like an A ball player!! Doesnt matter who Twins get if they don't get an ACE! Have you watched the playoffs? Professional Pitchers going 7-8 innings! That's why those teams are in the playoffs and Twins are sitting!! Simple!!

    No No No!! Not one team still in the Playoffs does not have an ACE!! If Twins are serious about winning you have to get an Ace. If they don't that's a key sign winning is not a priority but Profit is!!

    John: Were you celebrating the Vikes win when you wrote this? A little fuzzy in the logic thinking? Jeffers is only one notch above Sano in hitting. He can't hit a cutter to save his life and the league figured that out. Back:-up at best!! And your "Nothing is required" comment is Comical!! Have you watched the Play-in games? ALL the winning teams have an ACE and strong #2's who went 7-8 innings as do the teams they will now face!! If that is not PROOF of what this team needs then nothing is!!

    Stop looking at those Cyber Metric Cards in the dugout and watch the game!! Many time the guys in the booth would say "So and so just doesn't have it today" when Rocco brought in a pen guy. But Rocco would leave him in for two more walks, a hit batsman and a double!! Have a live feed from Smalley or Hawkins!! Have a month of Spring training in how to play an outfield wall None of young outfielders have a clue. Get a new 3rd base coach! Teach Buxton how to steal if he ever comes back. #1 Get an Ace!! No team in playoffs does not have an Ace!

    If he was really honest he would say he is not staying with an organization that does not have WINNING as a priority. They have PROFITS as their priority!! They made money so Pohlad is happy!! Correa was the best 2 way SS in Twins history!

    This article falls in to the typical trap of accepting the Twins excuses of injuries!! The facts are the Twins shop the rehab market for pitching every year. They avoid the Quality Healthy Pitchers because of the price tag and go for Tommy John Patients on the rehab. So they do not get a break for pitching injuries because they signed damaged goods in many cases to begin with!!

    Catcher is a big concern. Jeffers can't hit a curveball. He is a 220 hitter at best. Larnach has same issue. Last couple months couldn't hit cutters and is liability in outfield. No range at all. Celestino can't keep track of how many outs there are and like other young Twin Outfielders can't play the wall. Attitude is a concern. But bottom line if Twins don't get an Ace and improve the Pen none of the position moves matter! Stop with the Tommy John projects! Pay for Healthy quality pitching!!

    Numbskulls? Oh you mean the fans that wanted to actually "Win" rather than watch a singles hitter and who knew his contract kept the Twins from ever investing in real Pitchers?

    Nope! Like Sano the league figured out he can't hit a curve ball!! Plus so limited in the outfield. Doesn't cover much ground and can't play the fence. Time to move on from him!!

    Ted: You forget actual bare FACTS! No team in the last 20 years has been successful in the playoffs without an ACE and strong #2. Plus a Closer. The Twins had none of those to start the season. They accidently ran into Duran who is now a legit Closer. But until they decide they actually want to win and focus on pitching rather than just being "Profitable" the Twins will be .500 and Jim Pohlad will be happy with his Front office. Profit is better than winning for this group. They love Rocco because he just puppets whatever they want. He will be here a long time regardless of losing the team down the stretch!

    Miranda cannot handle 3rd base and now league may have caught up to him with sliders. Range is 2 feet either way. Rosario was inconsistent but at least he would show some fire. Twins don't have that now. But until Twins decide pitching is important and get an Ace and more than AAA middle relief they will be stuck at .500+!!

    How can Beckham be on a big league roster? Totally overwhelmed at the plate and now last night cost the game with his error with 2 outs. The best at St Paul or Whichita HAS to better than him!! Larnach won't be much help. Was lost at the plate and covers so little ground and with Buck out is a liability in LF.

    Probably none contend at the League level. All 3 have been good for their age and experience. Miranda problem is he does not have a position. He is very average at third and at first. Maybe play winter ball to focus on learning the intracacies of some position. Otherwise he may become a young DH. The others are young pitchers. Still learning the big Leagues

    It's mind boggling how little attention this team gives to Pitching. Starters and the Pen. No team goes deep without an Ace and we somehow think we can for last 10 years. Nope. Look for a .500 Club without pitching. But at least they will be profitable inside that nice taxpayer funded stadium!! The Pohlads laugh all the way to their banks!!

    Wow. Ober is only one you are close to accurate on. Jeffers was an automatic out at the plate and teams run at will on him. Sanchez has more putouts since playing more, than Jeffers all year Larnach has been figured out like Sano. He can't hit Curves or Sliders. In the outfield he has limited range and without Buxton covering for him is a liability. Plus he has no clue how to play an outfield wall like the rest of the young Twins outfielders!

    Why is Beckham on a major league roster? Totally overmatched at the plate. Twins cannot afford an automatic out inat the plate. Bring up a kid Get them some bats. Beckham is wasting space!

    Rocco arguing was amusing. The guy he argued with agreed with him and called him safe. He can't change the Replay Booth. Why argue with him?

    Dumbest article I've seen in awhile! Correa has been the best 2-way SS the Twins have ever had!! Most of his errors are on balls others never get to. Plus he is first to greet the kids after a HR or RBI. Only real Leader on the team!! Invaluable to the teams success!!

    Wasted talent. Biggest disappointment was his refusal to hit to the opposite field. So many tried to talk him into doing it. Could have been another Miggy in Detroit but just loved those bomb Home Runs and now that may have cut his time short!
