Too much Logic Cody. Twins will go cheapest way. Simmons will probably be back and hope for a better year at the plate.

Ranking the Top-5 Remaining Free Agent Shortstops
MGM4706 replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Doesn't matter. All the good pitching is gone so the Twins have shown they are not serious about winning . We all need to move to Detroit. Their GM has been aggressive and added quality to a good young roster while the Twins sit on their hands!!- 34 replies

Twins Linked To Cy Young Winner Robbie Ray
MGM4706 replied to John Bonnes's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
These reports are always so Phoney. They probably come straight from the Twins. We always hear they "Just missed" out on this pitcher or that pitcher. Reality is they were never serious for the top names. -
Former Twins Cooperstown Case: Justin Morneau
MGM4706 replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
No. Good player but definitely not one that when you hear his name you immediately think HOF! Needs to refine his broadcasting skills. In a 3 game series don't tell the same story every night. The same fans are watching most nights. -
Two Tasks Remain for the Twins
MGM4706 replied to Ted Schwerzler 's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Has your article been in the "Draft" folder for awhile? It should have been written 3 months ago! In case you hadn't noticed almost all the good arms have been signed. And most by new teams!! Now the Twins are in the same boat again. The "Happ" boat. Take the left overs, the Tommy John patients!! No team goes deep in the playoffs without an Ace. So give up on that idea. Tigers, White Sox are now solidly ahead of the Twins! But Alas, we saved a few dollars!!- 11 replies

Byron Buxton is Here to Stay
MGM4706 replied to Andrew Mahlke's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
One problem. Buxton can't catch balls hit over the fence!! With no money for an Ace we won't go to the playoffs! How embarrassing for the Local Media guys/gals to AGAIN miss out on a big signing. Do ANY of them know how to work the phones or build relationships with Front Offices? That's their job! Rosen - 45 years never broke a story and now the current group never have. -
Twins No-Hitters: Eric Milton
MGM4706 replied to Sherry Cerny's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
This article only reminds of us of days when we actually had pitchers capable of pitching a no hitter and who were allowed to! Now we only get 2nd and 3rd tier guys hoping to get through 4 innings. Sad to watch all the wheeling and dealing going on as teams move to improve themselves and please their fans . The Twins sit on their hands as all the good players are scooped up. Mets got some strong outfield help yesterday. Guess we didn't need any. We got Cave back -
Twins are already hinting at going with 3-5 inning starters. So no Ace in their thoughts which means no playoffs again!! Tigers are the team to challenge White Sox! Tigers are dealing already and Scherzer is on the top of their list!

Part of the Future (Pitcher's Edition)
MGM4706 commented on BaseballGenius123's blog entry in Levi Hansen
Ok article. But leave out the "The next Pitcher I will talk about" routine. Just say "Next" or at the beginning say you will review Pitchers and then just lead with their name on each review. -
Whoever comes up there is one thing that was clear. Gardenhire in St Paul needs to do a better job of teaching the fundamentals of how to play a wall! Not one of the prospects including Kiroloff at first, Larnach, Rooker or Celestino in the OF had a clue on how to play a wall. They either run into it or shy away from it. That's on the organization.

Scouting Twins Prospects: Gilberto Celestino
MGM4706 replied to Lucas Seehafer PT's topic in Twins Minor League Talk
Article ignores one key issue. Did you watch any of the games? Celestino showed NO knowledge in how to play an outfield wall! He either crashed into the wall or shied away from it. Either way he did not show the proper technique of putting a hand out to locate the wall. But to his credit neither did Larnach or Rooker. This is on Toby Gardenhire. None of the call ups knew how to play the wall. -
Ranking What Went Right for the 2021 Twins
MGM4706 replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Bottom Line is that RARELY has a team went deep or to the Series without an Ace. So until there is an effort to get an Ace and a #2 (Now that Berrios is gone) the Twins will struggle. Pretty simple!- 8 replies

In Defense of the Twins Front Office
MGM4706 replied to Nick Nelson's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Ok article but you miss one HUGE piece. There has RARELY been a team to win a playoff series without an Ace. So if you are fine with winning a few games and maybe a Div. Title but having NO CHANCE in the playoffs, then Falvey, Levine and Pohlad can remain your Heroes!! -
Crazy article. The Twins are NOT going to pay the younger Pitchers on your list who are in the midst of their best seasons just like they wouldn't pay Berrios! Why even talk about those guys? They are going to try Farm guys who are not ready or they will get broken down Tommy John guys and hope to revive them. That's the Twins way, Save a Buck is number one rule. We all know that! Stop dreaming.

Docbauer: One big disappointment has been hitting coach. Sano has reverted back to old ways. Guys in the booth see it. All say until he uses all fields he will remain the strike out king. Larnach is now striking out at an alarming rate. Where is the coach? Plus not one of the call-ups know how to play a fence! Not Larnach, not Centirino and not our first basemen. None seem to have been taught to find the fence with their off arm and then find the ball! Where is St Paul coaching on that? And why doesn't Rocco at least address the poor fielding one in awhile? Just keeps blaming injuries and staring into his binder in the dugout! Stop that. Get mad once in awhile. Let players know there are consequences for poor play in the field. It appears to be a country club atmosphere!

Why is it the Whiz Kids in the front office seem to always need to get pitchers coming off Tommy John surgery? It hasn't worked out in the last 5 tries. Why continue down that path?

What Happened Between Josh Donaldson and Luis Arraez?
MGM4706 replied to Tom Froemming's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Rocco seems so distant from everything! Always staring into that stupid binder of his in the dugout to see what his next move should be! He never shows any emotion or gets upset over anything! Maybe he should be questioning why NONE of the kids coming up have any clue on how to play the fence. Put your off hand out, find the fence, then catch the ball. NONE of the young guys from Kiroloff, to any of the young outfielders have shown any knowledge of how to do that. Has Rocco said anything to young Mr. Gardenhire in St Paul about this lack of readiness? Or is that not in his binder? -
Twins Deadline Will Determine Depth of Failure
MGM4706 replied to Ted Schwerzler 's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
"Lockdown Arm"? Huh? Who evaluated that term- Falvey? Even Taylors outs are hard hit. Dynamic Duo needs to stop with the "Hope we can get Pitchers off the scrap heap" routine and get an Authentic Pitcher to help Berrios! They act like Vikes saving money on the O-Line! Results prove being stingy won't get you to or deep into playoffs. But since Club is profitable winning comes 2nd.- 33 replies

Game Recap: White Sox 13, Twins 3
MGM4706 replied to Andrew Thares's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Not Rocco's fault? He sits in dugout looking at his darn binder instead of managing. How about teaching the kids how to play a fence? Not one of them knows how. All of them shy away from the wall or crash into it. Kiriloff shying away and letting that foul drop to allow winning run later was embarrassing. But all the kids do it. Rocco or staff should be out pre game teaching this skill that should have already been taught! Plus the Whiz Kids theory of doing it with cheap retread pitchers is being exposed as folly! -

You forgot one key item for the two Whiz Kids! The ridiculous Mauer contract (For a team like the Twins) ended the year they came. They used that contract to bring in 4 major league players. The result? They won. Now that they have to continue the process they have proven to be mediocre. The minors are a mess. No pitching help there and look what we are using in CF!

I would not mention Rogers in the same sentence as Nathan or Perkins or Aggie. He has never had that "Killer" instinct. You never get the feeling the inning or game is over like you do with a real closer!
