    Speaking of FACTS: It is very RARE that ANY team has ever gone deep in the playoffs without an ACE or a #2. Falvey now says he might go with the 3 Inning concept for each Pitcher. Good Luck with that!! Just admit we can't afford good pitching and that winning the division is not our goal and that just being profitable is!!

    No team goes deep in the Playoffs without an Ace. So by not getting an Ace or even a #2 that is all you need to grade them. They appear to be following the Pohlad plan of not worrying about winning but just making sure the Club makes a profit. The Hell with the fans!

    Without pitching may as well keep him. Twins are going nowhere without pitching and with the moves the aggressive Tigers and White Sox have made. Will push 100 losses again with weak hitting at too many positions and no Ace.

    You are thinking way to creatively for the Twins! First of all , whatever the floor is you can be assured the Twins will figure a way to spend the least amount of money. That is always their starting point. How can we spend the least! That keeps them from cutting loose Sano and getting a productive player at first as you suggest. They also showed an unwillingness to spend at a key position like SS. So relax and get ready for another missed playoff season. Broken down pitching, Simmons back at short, Sano waving at curve balls and incompetence in LF will again be the story for 2022.

    Bundy will be on a shuttle. Not to St Paul but to the Mayo Clinic for his arm strain issues! Another oft injured on the cheap selection by the Whiz Kids. Get tickets in the outfield if you want a ball when Bundy pitches!

    Doesn't matter. All the good pitching is gone so the Twins have shown they are not serious about winning . We all need to move to Detroit. Their GM has been aggressive and added quality to a good young roster while the Twins sit on their hands!!

    These reports are always so Phoney. They probably come straight from the Twins. We always hear they "Just missed" out on this pitcher or that pitcher. Reality is they were never serious for the top names.

    No. Good player but definitely not one that when you hear his name you immediately think HOF! Needs to refine his broadcasting skills. In a 3 game series don't tell the same story every night. The same fans are watching most nights.

    Has your article been in the "Draft" folder for awhile? It should have been written 3 months ago! In case you hadn't noticed almost all the good arms have been signed. And most by new teams!! Now the Twins are in the same boat again. The "Happ" boat. Take the left overs, the Tommy John patients!! No team goes deep in the playoffs without an Ace. So give up on that idea. Tigers, White Sox are now solidly ahead of the Twins! But Alas, we saved a few dollars!!

    One problem. Buxton can't catch balls hit over the fence!! With no money for an Ace we won't go to the playoffs! How embarrassing for the Local Media guys/gals to AGAIN miss out on a big signing. Do ANY of them know how to work the phones or build relationships with Front Offices? That's their job! Rosen - 45 years never broke a story and now the current group never have.

    This article only reminds of us of days when we actually had pitchers capable of pitching a no hitter and who were allowed to! Now we only get 2nd and 3rd tier guys hoping to get through 4 innings. Sad to watch all the wheeling and dealing going on as teams move to improve themselves and please their fans . The Twins sit on their hands as all the good players are scooped up. Mets got some strong outfield help yesterday. Guess we didn't need any. We got Cave back

    Twins are already hinting at going with 3-5 inning starters. So no Ace in their thoughts which means no playoffs again!! Tigers are the team to challenge White Sox! Tigers are dealing already and Scherzer is on the top of their list!

    The Author has drank the MN Kool-Aid for too long. He needs to ask himself how many times in those 20 years have the fans REALLY thought that the team had a chance to not just get to the playoffs but actually go deep and possible get to the World Series. The answer for most fans would be either ZERO or 1-2 times. Without committing dollars to getting an ACE AND a competent 2 & 3 slot pitchers the hope for success in the playoffs is non-existent!! If the author really means his point is they have not been the worst in baseball that is true. But much beyond that has been a stretch. Tying up so much money in the Mauer contracts proved to be a bad decision. As soon as he was gone they took that 20 million, put it into 4 quality players and made it to the Playoffs.

    Ok article. But leave out the "The next Pitcher I will talk about" routine. Just say "Next" or at the beginning say you will review Pitchers and then just lead with their name on each review.

    Whoever comes up there is one thing that was clear. Gardenhire in St Paul needs to do a better job of teaching the fundamentals of how to play a wall! Not one of the prospects including Kiroloff at first, Larnach, Rooker or Celestino in the OF had a clue on how to play a wall. They either run into it or shy away from it. That's on the organization.

    Article ignores one key issue. Did you watch any of the games? Celestino showed NO knowledge in how to play an outfield wall! He either crashed into the wall or shied away from it. Either way he did not show the proper technique of putting a hand out to locate the wall. But to his credit neither did Larnach or Rooker. This is on Toby Gardenhire. None of the call ups knew how to play the wall.

    Waste of ink for this article. Someone writes it every year and every year the Twins do nothing with Pitching other than sign Tommy John rejects. No team goes deep in the playoffs without an Ace and strong #2. Twins have neither.

    Lance Lynn is starting today in the Playoffs. We never see anyone fixed here for pitching. Our college pitching coach should have been reassigned with the other 2 coaches this week. Celestino not only couldn't hit but he had no clue as to how to play the outfield wall just like Larnach and Rooker don't. Kiriloff couldn't play the side walls either. That's on minor league coaches. But none of this matters unless we get an Ace. No team that has went deep in the playoffs without an Ace. So if the FO and Rocco are saying "We know we won't go deep in the playoffs because we wont address starting pitching then fine. We get what we have.

    Bottom Line is that RARELY has a team went deep or to the Series without an Ace. So until there is an effort to get an Ace and a #2 (Now that Berrios is gone) the Twins will struggle. Pretty simple!
