  1. 100% hope that's their plan. Yep, just found another reason the Correa move might have been a mistake. Only so many dollars to go around. Correa is a wizard in the field which helps offset his BA. In his 2 years with us the outlier in his hitting was his hot streak at the end of last season. To this date he's performed at the Plate similar both years. I sure hope he has another late season hot streak. I can understand why we signed him the first time but the second time we had already drafted Lee with Lewis as well. Okay, last time I rag on spending all that money on Carrea. Just hope he starts earning his money.
  2. True, if his hitting bounces back we're okay BUT we have a lot of dollars riding on it. The last guy we paid big buck for (Donalson) clogged the spot.
  3. Good point .. as long as Correa can find his swing .. which he probably will
  4. I would agree with you if Correa was a two or 3 year rental. But he will clog that spot for a long, long time.
  5. I agree. All they did was clog up shortstop when they had two young stars in the waiting, similar to what they did with Gallo.
  6. DAMN YOU GIANTS AND METS. LOL The Mets were an ankle away from throwing Carrea's big contract on the top of their big Bonfire. iI would have been epic!
  7. How fast was Bartolo Colon's fastball when he pitched for the Twins .. I think with Dallas, it will come down to how crafty and accurate his pitches are. Fingers crossed ..
  8. What bothers me about our front office is that like in the case of Gallo they won't admit and correct their mistakes ...
  9. Just some musings. After the Mets classic debacle I chuckle when I think the Mets were an ankle away from adding Correas massive contract to the top of the bond fire 🔥
  10. It's not Larnach's fault the Twins spent 11 million on a retread like Gallo preventing a 26 year old from being able to adjust to the majors this year. I'll pit Larnach up against Gallo all day and all night.
  11. I'm thrilled we didn't trade Larnach and that we DIDN'T pick up a right handed bat. Lewis will be and is that right handed bat ..
  12. Cut Gallo and Salono, trade Keoler if he isn't going to be on the team long term, shut down Buxton. Hey, I'm more interested in keeping the young players for next year.
  13. We need another right handed bat they. Our lineup had 8 right-hander and one lefty. Only run came from the lefty. It's not the side of the plate. It's the players AT the plate.
  14. Actually only have one option. Promote him to the bigs or lose him.
  15. It's not Larnach's fault the Twins risked 11 million on Gallo to the detriment of Larnach and Wallner. The Twins seem to favor keeping players that are out of options so maybe it's good he will be out of options next year. They can leave him alone and let him develop because Gallo isn't going to be here next year and Kepler should get traded ..
  16. I spend all of my time trying to figure out who we can get rid of so kids like Lewis and Lee have a spot on the twins roster. In my dreams I invasion seeing a line up sometime next year of: Julien 2B Lee 3B Lewis CF Krilloff 1B Wallner RF Larnach LF Correa SS Jeffers C Buxton DH Anyone else think this lineup could do damage?
  17. If anyone is looking for a big splash move to improve the team this trade is just a distraction.
  18. I don't see an extra year of control a plus in regards to Lopez. Correa banged the table to trade for him and we gave up a lot of young players. Now let's move on to fixing our Gallo mistake and maybe trade Gordon as it's looking like Castro is the real deal. I think Castro is more versatile than Gordon and a better defensive player. He's a better base stealer and just as good a hitter as Gordon if not better. And finally, Castro is a switch hitter when our team is overloaded with left handed batters.
  19. Isn't Lewis right handed. Can't Polanco bat right handed. How much is not being able to hit left handers due to Vazuez, Buxton, Taylor and Correa not hitting.
  20. Right on! The article says, no route to the majors. Why, because Twins management was supposed to trade Kepler over the off-season and decided to sign Gallo. Who's fault is that. Not Wallner and Larnach. Look at the last two or three games. The young guns Wallner, Larnach, Julien, Krilloff have carried this team. All it would take is to move Gallo and shut Buxton down for the season to get him ready for next, whether that means another knee scope or not. When Lewis and Gordon are ready you're going to need to take a look at Salono and Farmer and decide whether you want to lose Gordon or not. Hard decisions have to be made. Do the Twins believe in our young players or or do they want to ride some mediocre old guys to the playoffs?
