I’ve been following this team for like 35 years to be able to predict the future. Everyone needs to prepare themselves for what’s about to happen. I’m looking into my crystal ball, but I’m confident I’m right.

The Vikings are going to lose enough games the rest of the way, let the division lead slip, qualify as a wild card, and be forced to play in the meadowlands in the wild card round.

You just have to prepare yourselves for that very real possibility.

I’m confident this is what’s going to happen. The north winner will likely be #1 followed by the west winner and east winner at 3. Where do the Vikings land if they don’t win the division? 6 seed? 7? Think about it. 2 plays 7, 3 plays 6. It’s all setting up perfectly.

If this team doesn’t change QB anytime soon it’s absolutely happening. Today is example A

Even if they make a change, it may happen. Wentz ain’t great either. Almost certainly better than Murray, but likely not a game changer. Concerning too how the lions ran it down our throats, even when we knew it was coming. All around bad game.

Yes many have been suffering for much longer. But I’ve seen enough to know what’s coming. Like knowing Darnold was winning that Super Bowl. You just know.

Don’t need a game changer at QB. Just someone who can competently throw the ball downfield. The Lions ran 18 more plays and held the ball 10 min longer than us today. The defense just got gassed at the end.

I don’t know if it’ll happen before next week. But a bad performance on MNF might force it

KOC on the radio after the game is still talking about getting Murray comfortable in the offense. He’s an 8 year NFL veteran and we’re 5 games in.

The Cardinals had originally inserted a clause in Kyle Murray’s contract mandating 4 hours a week of studying film. It was removed following an uproar but the implication seems clear that KM is not a studious quarterback. I also don’t understand why the Cardinals would sign KM to an 8 figure contract if they thought he was not putting in sufficient effort to prepare for the coming opponents.

KOC just indicated Murray has a “hamstring injury”. So here’s the soft benching of him.

It's not like I love Wentz. But it's 100 percent clear Murray is bad. Not just not good, but bad, at his job.

Fans at least deserve a legitimate insider report on what the hell is going on with QB. Who decided what, who is giving in. I want to give KOC the benefit of the doubt, but...

Kyler Murray was 100% KOC's choice, we know that. KAM was canned and Brez was not overruling Kevin when it came to the QB decision, Kyler was flown in on the first day of free agency and Kevin spent the whole day with him, selling him on signing here. Kevin legitimately thought he could get Kyler to play his system with the added bonus of some scrambles.

He tried to cram a square peg into a round hole, and the offense resembles what it did in 2023 when Josh Dobbs was at QB. A few nice throws, a few highlight scrambles, but no consistency, no rhythm, and one of the worst offenses in the league as it's super predictable. And at least before today Kevin was going run-first, he abandoned that today.

The grossest thing is the Vikings probably win this game with JJ McCarthy or anyone worth a **** at quarterback lol

It's funny you say that, we played Detroit on the road Week 8 last year (deja vu) and we did in fact win 27-24 with JJM starting. Not a great game from him statistically and we actually ran the ball, but he had 3 TDs and a perfect throw to Nailor to dagger the game. Goff was much better, but they stupidly fed Montgomery the ball over Gibbs.

Gave up so soon. And for what?

KOC wanted him out of the building, he wasn't going to develop him. Read - that doesn't justify trading him for a 5th - but Kevin is control of the offense and he gets what he wants. Hopefully that will change soon, but I can get why Teasley executed the move. He'll probably want to draft his own QB next year, though probably not too early.

I'm glad JJM is getting a chance to play elsewhere and he doesn't have to sit around on the bench. I have to wonder if his durability will hold up, but so far he's playing like the guy I thought was a mid-1st round prospect.

Meanwhile, I feel really good about predicting back in August that we end up with Mac Jones in 2027. Good about being right, that is. Not good about the QB situation.

He’s always a play away from getting hurt. And he throws a lot of careless passes. But that’s better than this, I don’t think there’s much question anymore.

He's playing like he has something to prove. And he does.

Yikes.

Really bad look.

I have followed someone on social media for a long time who is an Arizona Cardinals fan. So I had a front row seat to this guy's commentary on Kyler Murray and it was... not good. So I was never one of those fans who looked at this with signing an open mind.

As an Arizonan I was saying it when we signed him.  The national narratives were nonsense:

He had lots of great weapons, schemes designed for him, coaches catering to him and what you got was unserious football.

Everything we see, has always been there.

He's not. But Jefferson averages 6.5 catches on 8.5 targets for 89  yards a a game when Wentz plays. So at least Jefferson might perk up again.

I'm less concerned about the run game though as I don't think another RB in the league (maybe Bijan) is able to slip out of tackles like we saw Gibbs do yesterday.
