That's the plan! I bought the cheapest ticket available for Saturday and plan on seat surfing for one more game.

I saw Shelton saying a few days ago that he would play the veterans since Texas was still in the playoff hunt. I am not sure how that makes the Twins more competitive, but that is what he said.

     He had challenges formulating lineups with the Pirates also. Article on Pucketts Pond states that a Texas playoffs could help Twins in draft placement...not sure if it is true or not. Regardless...play the younguns..

they play the best lineup against the teams in the playoff hunt in order to be fair to all teams in the hunt. It's a respect thing between managers.

          younguns are the Twins best....seems to me it is a better lineup...and they have the ammo a emma..jenkins...keasch outfield is the best Twins have. The 🌶  at short if he is able and Ross if not. Unfortunately, Shelty follows the Church of lefties and righties...could be reason he had poor seasons with pirates and they now have a winning record.

Really great article on Larnach in today’s Star Tribune. This is a guy who gets it. Going out - assuming his Twins career is probably over - with humility & gratitude. Much respect to him. 

Also admitted his body broke down by August after all the games in LF. “My legs were killing me.” Makes sense. Said he hopes to play this weekend.

I love that the 2 bulldogs Verlander and Scherzer are both trying to out duel each other until the very end on the all time strikeouts leaderboard. Verlander’s final start is tomorrow on short rest IIRC and Scherzer said he’ll pitch until his arm falls off.

if in Sabato in asking Shelton - hey my whole family flew from east coast to California - now there here at Target field and i get it im 99.9%  sure i wont be in the twins organization next year,  Can ya at least give me a GAME  ,  I Think i deserve it sir !

I'd rather see Sabato at 1B than Lewis, probably more competitive too.

Playing Lewis is just defaulting to veterans who don’t deserve playing time right now. He has a .528 OPS over 78 PAs in September. He’s guessing at every pitch and swinging at everything like he was when he was sent to St Paul in May.
