When you wrote it, I thought well of course. I can't believe you have to defend this position. Who said they lost there best position player and best pitcher? I read Buxton is day to day and well Ryan pitches tonight. Who are the best players we lost you reference.
Twinsrtheworst Verified Member Posted July 29 Posted July 29 I honestly hope and know they don’t take advice from us for sure. As they say, listen to the fans and you will be sitting with them. Of course, that would increase our attendance by one or two. But honestly if the fans are set on only supporting a Playoff or WS favorite…. I don’t foresee that year coming anytime soon. Feel free to disagree.

And I haven't spent a dime on the team. I never said I wouldn't watch. Just that I won't pay for it. I always hope they do well. I just know that decisions you make now affect what happens in the future. And the way I balance those things seems different from you and others. And that's alright. Well thank you then Thank you for your support of the Team and Players. Truly appreciate it. Mike Sixel 1

It seems to me there is a pretty equal number of people that are focused on this year and another fairly equal group of people who are more focused on building a true contender. I fall into the group that wants to manage toward something better than mediocrity and hope for a miracle in the playoffs. You do know that the opposite of hope is hopeless… right?. Mike Sixel 1

howeda7 Verified Member Posted July 29 Posted July 29 While a team normally shouldn't let what fans think influence things, this is likely an exception. The Twins standing with the MN fan base was at an all-time low to start the season. It's recovered only marginally. If they were to sell again while being 1 game out of the play-offs, followed by a work stoppage, the damage might be such that they never recover and become the A's circa the last 15 years. If you have no hope, you are considered without hope… hopeless. Logic is still needed. I’ve seen logic, perform well illogically. Go head and live hopeless my friend..

I don’t mean to be aggressive at all. It’s actually you and a few others that are teaming up on me. How do you not see that? You actually do post aggressively, you and a handful of others, that are consistently aggressively commenting on anybody who chooses a positive stance on the Twins. It’s you , and a few of the longtime commentators and moderators that will not allow any type of positive outlooks. Why? I have no idea.

I’ve never responded to any of your posts so perhaps you have me confused with someone else. I have plenty of positive takes about the Twins and also some not positive, it’s called balance or realism. With that I’m not participating in this conversation any longer.

I also don't mean to speak for @linus, except to say he's been around a minute or two, and negativity isn't his thing. Edited July 29 by USAFChief Linus 1

And I still want them to trade Ryan Jeffers and not give up any meaningful prospect for a team that's been at .500 for 2 of the last 84 games. I'm super happy for Royce Lewis.
