Not taking that eminently winnable game one, and then getting absolutely demolished is 100% pure, unfiltered 2026 Minnesota Twins.

Pure unfiltered 2026 TC would be TC winning tonight.  I'm betting moneyline TC +149.

Matthews, the pen, and some solid defense gave them a shot to get a win in the series Monday night, however the vaunted offense was not up to the task against there #5 starter and his 5 plus era. My guess is Ryan will have a nice game, but much like Monday the offense won't do him any favors.  Great, Ryan out again....  .500 and the WC is a pipe dream.

How lucky. I listen to Dodgers radio and glommed onto tix last week based on booth's prediction. Then Ryan gets ill, falls out of rotation and into my lap.

Per  Aaron Gleeman .  had to share--Pohlads getting Lucky  625.000 alot for  him ---Justin Lawrence was claimed off waivers by the Nationals after being designated for assignment by the Twins last week. My assumption was that Lawrence would clear waivers because of the $625,000 or so left on his contract. But that's now off the Twins' books.

Per Bobby N:

Luke Keaschall, who played an inning in the outfield in Arizona, will likely begin to see more time out there, Derek Shelton said.

Keaschall is out of the lineup today against Shohei Ohtani (Tristan Gray starting at 2B). Keaschall did pregame work in right field.

Now there's a message delivered.  "Son, I'm sitting you in this game in favor of Tristan Gray. For his defense. Yeah, think about that. Take all the time you need."

Guys, I've got a good feeling about this one! I think this is the game! I've already set aside my celebratory drink for when we inevitably win!

Conveniently, it also doubles as a conciliatory drink if I'm wrong! Win-win!

Ohtani  last 2 games    june 17th  6 innings - 7 hits 4  runs   and june 10th 6.2 innings   6 hits  3  runs    b4 that  his era was  under .100  its now blown up  to 1.47     ,  been scored on last few times out ,   Attention   Twins batters   ?? What you gonna do ?   he about as ripe as he ever gonna be pitching,   Go Twins !!!!

Per Gleeman:

After getting a second opinion on his injured right elbow, Mick Abel will undergo arthroscopic surgery.

Twins say they'll determine a timeline for Abel's recovery after the surgery.

Unfortunate, but I do think this means it's basically impossible the Twins trade Ryan at the deadline. They can't test the depth further than it is right now if they're feeling remotely in the AL race. Also means they're probably going to stretch Paredes further as a starter if he's the current option. and they're going to have to at least until Ober is back(if that even happens)

Ober had no effects after a bullpen this weekend. He'll be back.
