Soft. Thats what this Twins team is. No need for you to make excuses for them...

It’s not an excuse - we’ll see what the verdict ends up being, but I think it’s fair to call out MLB if they are not taking your safety seriously as a player. It is every employers job to keep you safe - if they aren’t that should be looked into.

Will take advantage of this rain delay to say I’ve been watching the 1987 World Series games on YouTube - very fun to go back to!

I was watching twins and Yankees from 2001. Not the knoblauch game. It’s funny to listen to dick and Bert talk about contraction and the new stadium and losing home grown guys to the big clubs

If that was true, they would never call delays.

Letting an infield fly drop is bush league IMO

Can’t recall it working in the big leagues. Legion ball yes.

I agree.  I'm not sure anybody that has actually been fooled by the drop.  I'm not sure I want MLB to do anything about it.  I would like if coaches would just discourage its usage.  Other than being bush league, it seems to be too much risk for the reward.

Another inconsequential, worthless batter challenge lost. Now out of challenges in a close game. Hit a homer anyway! Didn’t even need it.

Why would Whitt have apologize for hitting Byron? Lol

He didn’t have to. He wanted to. Does that bother you?

No, it’s just silly. Why did my question bother you?

No. The man is free to do what he wants. Showing respect to another player doesn’t bother me at all.

One out!
Half way there!

Cory was having a conversation with Molly earlier in the game about this.  Cory couldn't figure out how the math worked.  Apparently, Cory never listened to Blyleven at all.  This was all Blyleven would say in the 9th inning of games where the Twins needed to close the game out.
