Clemens really is a feast or famine hitter. Through May 9th, he was hitting .184 with .637 OPS and 3 HRs and 4 2Bs, through the 10th to the 17th he is hitting .523 with 2 HRs and 5 2Bs with an OPS of somewhere around 1.500!

And he has more periods of famine.  I am fine with riding with him when he is in feast mode.  The problem is we keep running him out there in his many famine moments.

This mid inning  replacements with 2 outs --  to much pressure on the new kid ,  Banda might not be Sandy Koufax ,  but its his mess and the throwing error cost him also , not a fan of this

You couldn't let Banda face Chourio, any other hitter and I would agree but you needed a RH out there.  And Morris made it work.

Banda walked the 8  hitter  -   that was the biggest issue , not a fan of wildman

Kriedler picking up bad habits watching Lewis from the on deck circle. Has the reach and wave strike three going now.

If I were pitching to Royce, he would only see low and outside. Every pitch.

Agree.  Very high likelihood that he'll swing at and miss each such pitch.

He's become more unplayable than Wallner was.  That's saying something, none of which is good or worthwhile.

At some point it's the organization that keeps running Lewis out there. He has no clue what he's doing,.... you can tell as these are 3 pitch strikeouts, the pitchers absolutely know that they don't need to throw strikes. I'm done piling on him... it's managerial malpractice to keep playing him.

I would agree.  The pitcher knew he could throw that pitch so high that it would land in St Louis Park and Lewis would still swing at it.  It is getting to the point that this is a manager problem as much as a Lewis problem.

The Lewis piling on has reached a new low, blaming him for Kreidler's strikeout.  Kreidler has a .159 career batting average I don't think he needs any inspiration to strike out.

Especially because there are other options available.  Maybe not perfect or ideal options, but options nonetheless.  Most anything would be better than this.

Lighten up, Francis it was just kind of a joke.

They refuse to look at the best option which is Culpepper.  Lewis is getting to the point of being unplayable, but two weeks of Arcia or Gray over there and we are going to be complaining as well.

I don't disagree.  However, at least Gray and Kreidler offer a glimmer of hope, which is more than we can honestly say about Lewis at this point in time.
