I have to admit, when Spring Training squads are reduced to near final, Spring Training is not as interesting to watch as the first weeks when , the look-see effect is in full swing.

The squad this year is interestingly bland, so how the first games of the season go will , I am sure, bring out nay-sayers in full swing.

I hope the Twins can build a little momentum in the last few games. I'm not happy about the roster they've put together, but players breaking out could make those last roster spots much less important.

I am not watching but the two out RBI says a single hit to Brooks Lee. You can already depend on the fact that the infield defense won't do you any favors.

 

Of course getting singled to death is still death.

Lee really half-assed it into a 2 run single.  Shelton should tell the team that crap doesn't play here this year and bench him.

Ober is basically throwing BP out there.  No life on the fastball and giving up tons of hits.  But even so he would have avoided some of the damage if Lee were a better SS.....he just isn't.  We can only hope for decent, average play from him at that position and hope the bat holds up.

Feels like the Phil Hughes situation repeating itself. Ober is gonna have to Houdini his way out of a lot of trouble this season.
