rooting for the x Gopher catcher  to win --, like what he did with the lineup  this game  Was a big fan of the gophers when he played ,  Good player  as a pro also

There has been a fair amount of pressure on the pitchers to be really good for 4-5 innings. I have wondered if a few guys are trying too hard to be perfect on every pitch as opposed to trusting their stuff, which is a delicate differentiation.

Fun baseball to watch.

Louie Varland has pitched in 10 of the Blue Jays 11 games in this postseason. Raleigh just took him deep however.

He’s not gonna figure it out tonight, but this offseason he’s gotta find a way to be less susceptible to the long ball

Smoltz   giving Rubber armed Louie some Love ,   will always wonder why they got rid of him ,   Twins had him for the minimum  for 2-3-  years ,   but  good for Louie !!!!!!

Because louiie gives up homeruns at a high clip , he'll better someday he's got nasty stuff ...

Homegrown Minnesota boy and they trade him , at least he fulfilled his dream as a youngster to play for the Twins....

I missed it by 🤏 much ...

Brooks Lee doesn’t make that double play happen. The up the middle defense from every team is significantly better than anything we’ve seen from our Twins the last couple of years.

The up the middle defense from every team is significantly better than anything we’ve seen from our Twins the last couple of years--   id say  ours might be the worse in american league -  Brooks is a decent player but will never be better than average at shortstop ,   3b or 2 b -  maybe

I agree with your point in general, but neither Lee or Keaschall were on the Twins two years ago so it's hard to blame Lee for the Twins' shortstop play. Also it's hard to say that most teams had a shortstop better than Correa over the last couple of years.

Seattle probably has the best chance out of the 2 to make the WS interesting. Their pitching is better than the Jays

For sure that is the better and more marketable matchup, no offense to the deserving Jays fans.

I think this is why some managers like to go with their best arm in the highest leverage situations to face the top of the order instead of just saving them for the 9th...

You think? Especially in game seven. He's going to be fired, he's been awful all series.

!?
Both of these guys I would rate much closer to Baldelli than Joe Torre on the managing scale, and there’s always a whiff of desperation in these situations, but it is a Game 7 and taking your team there (or riding their coattails) is probably not grounds for firing?

He's been ripped by every writer I follow all series long, before and after the moves didn't work. He may survive, but he's in trouble.
