Hard to believe that former twin Rob Refsnyder is leading off a playoff game for the Red Sox in 2025. But he apparently did have a solid year.

Skubal was back to being brilliant after a couple of meltdowns late in the regular season.  

Crochet was brilliant.

The Yankees load the bases with no outs in the bottom of the ninth and don't score, and Cleveland gets Ramirez to third base with no outs in the bottom of the ninth, and can't score him.

Every NL 6 seed (all, uh, three of them) has won at least two playoff series under this format.  I think that streak comes to an end here

I can't imagine why anyone would think the playoffs are too watered down

Dodgers are struggling hard here

Gotta give credit to the Reds for sticking around... Dodgers had 40 different guys pitch this year and their bullpen will probably be their downfall. They shoulda made a bigger offer to get Duran so the Phillies wouldn't get him.

They were dealing with Falvey so the lesser offer probably secured Duran for Philly.
