Washington and Colorado aren’t lottery eligible. White Sox 25% chance 1st pick. Twins  15%.

Mickey Gasper!

As expected.

The next Brian Harper?? His career blossomed late with the Twins, basically handed the starting C job half way through his age 28 season; had a pretty good 6 year run in MN....(shoulder shrug, got nothing else!!)

Understood. His B-R page states he was born in Tampa, FL on 2-27-84, his Wikipedia page states he was born in Washington, D.C. on 2-27-84, only the Shadow knows...

If folk would be so good as reminding me about the lottery eligibility...

Did Washington or Colorado do anything wrong? Or just some aspect of their markets?

If small market team can’t draft in lottery more than 2 years. If a is large market can’t be in lottery in back to back years. Trying to stop perpetual tanking.

Per Tollefson:

Per Stathead, #MNTwins Matt Wallner is the first player in MLB History to reach 20 home runs in a season and have fewer than 40 RBI.

20 HR and just 35 RBI is a bizarre stat line, but hey, can't argue with his results tonight.

Giancarlo Stanton isn't much better.....17 HR 46 RBI's.....

You know what's crazy about that? Looking at statcast, both Wallner and Stanton are almost identical in their batting run values over the last 3 years.  The only difference is Stanton has been producing at that level for quite a bit longer.
