You think two top fifty prospects for one RP? Not happening.

Btw, Jenkins continues to drop down lists, while Teel is catching in the majors and hitting....

I said starting point, didn't I?

Twins hold the big tickets (possibly) but there are plenty of good reliever's being mentioned as being available - Helsley, Fairbanks, Bednar, Maton, Bender, and Johnson (Atlanta). The Twins should not accept less than what they are asking, but teams not willing to pay the Twins asking price have plenty of options.

I was pushing Teel due to the Twins weakness at the catching position in the majors and minors. Don't get me wrong, Jeffers is a solid major league catcher, but after Jeffers, in the catching depth for the foreseeable future  is as bleak as the Korean DMZ in winter.

I like to remind everyone that we aren't rebuilding like MIA & CWS

Miami has a better record than the Twins. The White Sox have been more competitive than the Twins since the All Star Game, 7-4.

The Twins are hurting right now and things are not trending in the right direction. Both the Marlins and Whie Sox are trending up.

I like to remind everyone that we aren't rebuilding like MIA & CWS, So if Falvey is smart, the currency has to be promising MLB-ready impact players, not prospects. So if the team that can land E Quero or Teel from CWS, that is the team I'd be open to negotiating with. Even NYY :(

Restricting your ask to MLB ready players really reduces your outlook.

Chicago isn't adding right now. But you can try to make that trade in the offseason if you want.

That's very true, but still we aren't in the rebuild business. We still have big contracts in Correa, Buxton & Lopez that prevent us from rebuilding. Under that fact, we have to be competitive next season to validate their salaries. To wait for prospects to make an impact on the team 3 or more years down the line doesn't help us now. I don't blame the players for the situation that we're in.

Every contending team is just one injury away from being mediocre. Any team with the right package might pry away Duran or Jax but it’s a steep price.  I doubt a GM will be willing to give up as much as what is being asked for. Trade % is probably below 20%.  With a probable sale and a strong minors system, the FO has very little reason to off load controllable assets unless a considerable overpay is proposed.

We aren't rebuilding; we need players who can contribute to our areas that are fragile NOW, not 2 or more years down the road. Why give up players that impact us NOW & in the future, for players who can't? What some people can't understand- We are in the driver's seat, we are the one who can dictate what our demands are & we need to exercise that position. If the buyer would rather pass on their need to compete instead of meeting our demands. Then we go to someone who will, if there is nobody, then we keep them, plain & simple. We have the leverage, use it. I don't care if big markets think they have the right to our players & we have to bend to their demands.

This team is really bad. I'm not saying it has be destroyed and built from the ground up, but this team needs a LOT of work to be a contender.

Now is the time to trade both. And Buxton. And Correa. And Vazquez.

Package Jax or Duran with CC and wipe that slate clean.

Keep Ryan and Ober.

Check. Check. Check.

45 minutes to complete the house cleaning.
