You and Hambino are right.  This was the right situation for a closer.

I stand by my comment that Rocco's seeming aversion to doing anything regular, especially with his lineups, is turrible.

Take away the 13 game win streak, which we obviously can't, and not only are we 18 games below .500, we're also playing like it, too.

I'm having a tough time seeing us winning at least 70 games this season. And yet, next year's team probably won't look a lot different than this one.

Castillo wasn't sharp and we manage 5 runs,against him , 4 earned ...

But their bullpen shut the door on us , that's what our bullpen was doing too ,  until a certain closer who remains nameless , came in and gave up a winning run ...

I feel like the team we've seen the last two weeks is closer to who the 2025 Twins really are than that fun, albeit fluky, May 13 game winning streak.  
Hopefully we'll get some fun games occasionally for the rest of summer, but this team doesn't have 'it', and I think we need to stop pretending they do.

Could we trade Rocco Baldelli to the Pittsburgh Pirates, they need a manager and he is an East Coast guy. I would trade Rocco to Pirates for them assuming his contract and a bag of salted peanuts. I have lost complete faith that any actions he takes will make the Twins better.
