Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted June 6, 2025 Posted June 6, 2025 I'm going to try to do this once a week or so. Highlight a question and get peoples' takes on a subject. Which player do you think is most deserving of an All-Star nod? I noticed something interesting while preparing this question. Byron Buxton and Carlos Correa have basically the same xwOBA but Buxton is overperforming it and Correa is underperforming it by basically the same amount.

Linus Verified Member Posted June 6, 2025 Posted June 6, 2025 Buck, Ryan and Duran all worthy. Part of it will depend on other teams selections.
RpR Verified Member Posted June 7, 2025 Posted June 7, 2025 Right now it is between Bader, Buxton and France. Linus, Squirrel, DKrz56 and 1 other 3 1

Doctor Wu Verified Member Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 My first pick would be Joe Ryan. But Duran is deserving also. But who knows what can happen in the next month.
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 I would vote Ryan first and Duran second, but I hope both go.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 For some reason I don’t want our pitchers going. But they are both deserving.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 12, 2025 Posted June 12, 2025 FWIW Buxton made an All-Star statement tonight. There aren't many center fielders who put up the numbers he has offensively so far this year. If the selections were made today, he would be a lock. However, we also know there might be a 3-30 stretch with 20 strikeouts coming, so an All-Star berth is not guaranteed. As for Ryan and Durán, Ryan hasn't put up a lot of wins or a really low ERA and Durán only has 10 saves. It wouldn't surprise me if neither made the All-Star team this year.
