Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted March 2, 2025 Posted March 2, 2025 We're doing this over on Jays Centre and I wanted to try it here, see how it does in this format for spring games. Squirrel 1

And which so far this spring has not, Buxton being the lone exception. It's all SSS, but I'd have hoped for more SSS of good numbers to balance out the bad. Cross fingers for today - Rocco is giving clear signs as to what starting lineup he'd like to see emerge. RpR 1

Larnach hit a hr the last game I was at. I give a little leeway during ST, esp in the first couple of weeks. The latter weeks of ST, though, I’ll be getting antsy for more and better Parfigliano and ashbury 2

ashbury Verified Member Posted March 2, 2025 Posted March 2, 2025 Samuel Perez pitching in the ninth. He's someone they've slow-walked through the minors, repeating single-A Ft Myers 3 years in a row now with only tiny tastes of high-A, and now he's 25 years old and they want to see how he'll do against other tail-enders in a spring game? Is there really no other arm who is healthy and available this afternoon that they'd rather see?

Doctor Gast Verified Member Posted March 3, 2025 Posted March 3, 2025 Cerda, (BH) CFer looking pretty promising. We have a lot of quality MLB CF depth now. (RH) Buxton & Bader, (LH) Keirsey & now Cerda plus Emma & Jenkins not far behind. Trying to force (RH) Martin in an unnatural position at CF with very few LHPs opportunities, when we don't need, seems very redundant. IMO 2B is a position of greater need & a more natural position for Martin. I like the idea of ST game threads, sorry I missed this one. When I have time I'll try to seek it out.
