Agreed. All the complaining about Duran pitching before the 9th is just infantilizing him. He's a professional athlete. He should he ready to pitch in the 6th if necessary. Man up.

But if he keeps being terrible in those situations, why keep putting him in them? It’s not to not hurt his feelings, it’s because for whatever reason he stinks and ends up hurting the team. At least he’s good in one situation, most of our guys aren’t good in any

He's not good if he's not able to adjust. I think today is frankly ridiculous that he came in the 8th because...Ronny is pitching to Devers? But if he's truly such a basket case that he can only be useful in a save situation we should trade him immediately.

Glen Perkins called him out the other day for it, he's clearly not putting as much into his non-save situations. He's a diva. He compared himself to Mariano Rivera a few weeks back after blowing a save.

Rocco seems to be sticking it to the Polads for not giving him  better players to play with. If ownership is only going to sign castoffs, that's who he is running out there. What choice does he have?

I think this falls on Levine more than anyone. The pitching pipeline is producing nothing more than a trickle.
