Fair, but you also shouldn’t go out and get an injured guy for a high price

Well sure, hindsight is fun. We have a new trainer largely because of this.

And really, as we see Mahle do the same thing again with the Rangers, sometimes players aren't great evaluators of their injuries.

It's not a great deal but living in the past is a good way to stay there.

Can't lose this one being the only favorable pitching matchup of the series. Way too many of these games where the offense decides to roll over and die. Shouldn't happen.

But it sure looks like it will.  In this case, the pitching rolled over and died and the hitting was not nearly good enough to cover.

It just didn't work out in our favor.  I get tired of us trading for NL guys that don't want to stay with the Twins.  Tommy Herr and JJ Hardy come to mind.

And that Pirate pitcher with the wife that hated Minny

They did know about it beforehand though. That move deserves to be mocked for its overpay, if nothing else.

Good thing we can still trade for AL guys at least.

Like Jorge Lopez.

The team with no margin for error likes to make things hard for themselves. Now we have to win the next two to take the series just like we did against the Angels.

Thats just within the last 6-7 years.

Yes, injury prone players are cheaper on the trade and free agent market, and seen as better value picks in the draft. The Twins under this ownership and FO always have and always will be injured to hell, both on the big league roster and our top prospects in the minor leagues.

People were fired over this deal, I believe anyway.

And I still don't think it was a bad deal.

wish we had a pitcher like Pagan on our roster.

I wish we had some hitters, like the Reds seem to have.

Sigh!

You can add Maeda, Staumont, and even Sonny Gray was labeled an injury risk when the Twins traded for him

Well it seems when the Twins play bad-lousy-inept teams and said same teams use their bad-lousy-inept pitchers, the Twins make those pitchers look like  Cy Young  eligible.
