Azviking101 Verified Member Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 Alcala had given up the tying run 9 pitches into his outing yesterday if you think there’s ample time to warm someone up, then I’m sorry but there’s nothing else that can be said. Just block me if you think otherwise

DBacks weren't all that talented in their rotation last season and look where it got them. Of course, if the opponent is the Yankees, we know what will happen. The bottom line is, this is what we’ve got to deal with. Maybe getting super young pitchers this experience will be beneficial down the road in years ahead. We’ve had shots to get control of this thing and we haven’t done it. Lately it hasn’t been the young pitcher’s fault that we’ve let things slip through our fingers mrtwinsfan 1

He wasn’t warm until he came in. You don’t waste an arm warming up unless there’s an actual issue. plenty of time, , its ezzie to delay if a manager is serious about switch, plenty of wAYS !!!!!!!!!!!!!

They got absolutely demolished in the World Series. It wasn’t even close. Lots of mediocre teams make the World Series, few in the last couple decades have won. If you just wanna have a chance to make the WS, have at it, but that Dbacks team had no shot. It was an embarrassing World Series cheeseheadgophfan and MMMordabito 2

Delay what lol? There’s mound visit rules nowadays and the ump gives you like 30 seconds lol You all have played way too much MLB the show.

There was a few minutes delay while they retrieved Wallner's glove after the tying HR. At that point, they probably had enough time for Jax to be warm. Aggies7 1

But as we all know, this organization and players who can't get it done in crunchtime are a match made in heaven.

Azviking101 Verified Member Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 They had King at 66 pitches through 3 instead of forcing him to continue to work out of trouble by being patient they’ve gotten 6 outs in 14 pitches. Why change the game plan? Make him work and make San Diego use their pen early in the series. Now he’s on pace to breeze through 6-7 innings really bad baseball Aggies7, mrtwinsfan and MMMordabito 3
2wins87 Verified Member Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 The lineup is gonna let King pitch into the 7th after 65 pitches or whatever it was through 3. Aggies7 1

exeoud Verified Member Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 Silver lining, with Cleveland having the tiebreaker being 2.5 back after tonight is practically the same as 2 back. But yeah, if you don't right the ship tomorrow it doesn't matter.

Jocko87 Verified Member Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 If only time was a thing that could be adequately measured and those measurements notated in a way that was commonly accepted worldwide. Oh wait, there is. It was 4 minutes 32 seconds from Alcalas first pitch to a tie game. Jax was up at about the 2 minute mark. Gleeman and Geek broke it down on their podcast today. To put that on Rocco is pretty nuts, to be honest. Had he had another guy ready folks would be mad about dry humping 99% of the time. Almost as if facts don't matter to preset opinions. Bad, Rocco, Bad!

Bad, Rocco, Bad! I really don’t care about this topic but how much time elapsed from the time Jax started throwing until alacala faced his second to last batter? Or last batter? Don’t forget to add the two minutes he’d have been given to warm up on the field as well
