Doctor Wu Verified Member Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Good to see that his recent performance was recognized! Great to have him healthy again and helping the team win some games. gman 1
Dman Verified Member Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 He is the definition of a free swinger and nobody gets worse calls at the plate than Kirilloff. Umps always expand the zone on the kid not sure what he did but someone should look into it. At any rate I don't think there is pitch he cannot hit as he covers the entire zone well. Would be nice to see him go pull side a bit more but i get that he likes to wait as long as possible to swing. I think as he gets more and more used to MLB pitching he only gets better and better. I still think it is a special bat. Hope he keeps it up. gman 1

Rod Carews Birthday Verified Member Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Hooray! This is what we were all hoping for with him. Let’s hope the wrist issues are firmly behind him and that he can keep building on this season. I don’t know if his mid-term future is 1B or OF, but if he keeps hitting like this there will be a place for him. Dman 1
gman Verified Member Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 This year about him getting a mostly full healthy year under his belt. Possibly he'll run out of steam come September, but I hope not. I think he comes much closer next year to what we were expecting in the power department, but I am not disappointed in what he has shown this year. For all practical purposes, because of his injuries, this is his rookie year. I'm hoping Julian and Lewis( with more healthy games played) keep up the pace the rest of this year and next. That would be a great threesome to have added to the lineup as regulars going forward. I would like to see Wallner or maybe Larnach added to the group the rest of this year.
