If refering to "coumpounded" is math then Im stuck in a vicious circle Your math was correct. Just that one of the runs came curtesy of Manfred Mann and his Earth Band.

Fwiw, I don’t put Correa in that group today. Played 10 innings of flawless baseball at short. Very bad game result-wise on offense (although did put a really good swing on a ball that could have won the game in the 9th.) Not saying 162 games of that would justify his contract…but it’s not without value, either.
killebrewlover Verified Member Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 A win is a win. I'll take it. But 9 LOB today?! Very troubling and a problem for some time (last 3 games it's 16.0!). They'd have at least 10 more wins if they could lower their LOB per game average by 0.25.

They would easily have 8 more wins if with less then 2 outs and a guy on 3rd they increased their contact rate and cut the K rate.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 Next, 3 in Atlanta and 3 In Baltimore. I’d say 2-4 for that.

insagt1 Verified Member Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 Just an observation or two. First, happy with the win today (Always happy with wins!) Season half over and our guy we got for Arraez has not won a game since May 27 and in that game he pitched 5.2 innings and gave up 4 runs. For whatever reason, he doesn't produce wins for the team. His ERA since his last win is pretty bad and overall it has hovered around 4.50. He gets a lot of k's but he gives up too many runs. Let's hope for a much better result 2nd half. Twins hitters have elevated the strikeout to an art form worthy of the Louvre. The main concern going forward has to be the very lousy performances so far of several key players. Gallo is hitting .139 in June and has fanned 15 of his last 22 AB's. In his career he has hit above .209 only once so what were the Twins thinking? Buxton is hitting .135 in June. Kirilloff is hitting .194 in June and he seems to have lost most of his power. Correa is only hitting .228 in June with 22 k's in 79 AB's. Kepler has perked up slightly this past week but overall is having another awful season. It has become business as usual for Twins to strike out at least 10 times or more every game. For them to even consider winning the division, this has to improve. (says Mr. Obvious) Series with NL top team Atlanta followed by 2nd best team in the AL (O's) will be a real test.
